Organisational measures and safety
Please note that country specific legal provisions and speed limits must always be adhered to.
A maximum speed up to 60 km/h is temporarily permitted when utilizing the maximum capacity load of 650 kg
(„Sprinter 90") respectively 950 kg („Sprinter 900") and for short distances to the next possible parking area (up to
max. 10 km).
When driving longer distances (10 to 40 km) the speed must be adjusted accordingly. The maximum permitted
speed is then 10 km/h.
Please note that the wheels of the self-loading dolly can get very hot, especially at high outdoor temperatures
in combination with heavy loads and long journeys. When driving longer distances, the average speed must be
dramatically reduced. If necessary, you must stop to cool down the wheels.
Any disregard of the above mentioned instructions may result in damages of the dolly wheels.
- The operation of the dolly must be carried out by a specialist.
- The weight of the vehicle must always be determined before the use of the dolly.
The permitted load capacity of the self-loading dolly may not be exceeded.
As soon as the vehicle has been lifted with the self-loading dolly there is no more parking brake effect and it might
roll off or move and thereby represents a significant safety risk. Therefore, it is essential that there
are no persons within the area of risk.
- Always make sure that the operation site is well visibly secured by turning on the hazard warning
lights, strobe lights, beacons etc.. Do always wear hi-vis safety clothes.
- Do always carry out a visual check of the self-loading dolly as well as all other safety equipment
in order to detect any possible damages before each use.
- During use, the self-loading dolly must be secured on the vehicle wheel by means of a wheel
tie-down strap!
- Never use damaged or deformed self-loading dollies/safety equipment!
- When using a vehicle mover for towing, the vehicle must be attached to the vehicle mover first
before mounting the self-loading dolly!
- For tightening and loosening with a lifting tool, the lifting tool must always be held with both hands.

It is absolutely necessary that you consider the road conditions when towing a vehicle with the
self-loading dolly „Sprinter 90 & Sprinter 900". Always adjust your drving speed according to the weather condi-
tions. In order to guarantee safe towing, you must reduce the speed in case of snow, rain, fog etc..
Always remember that you are towing an unbraked vehicle, which means that the braking distance
of your own vehicle is considerably increased. In an emergency braking situation the vehicle might pop out of the
vehicle mover if unsatisfyingly secured. Secure the towed vehicle according to the instructions of the manufac-
turer of the vehicle mover!
