NOTE: One functional key must be present to program new remotes.
NOTE: All currently programmed and new remotes must be reprogrammed to the vehicle in
the same programming session.
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Close all doors, trunk/liftgate, hood, windows, and sunroof (if equipped). Enter the vehicle through the
driver's door and close it.
STEP 2:
Insert key into ignition, but do not turn at this time.
STEP 3:
Hold down unlock button on driver's door. Do not release unlock button until Step 8 of programming
instructions.
STEP 4:
Turn ignition to on position without starting vehicle.
STEP 5:
Turn ignition off.
STEP 6:
Turn ignition to on position without starting vehicle.
STEP 7:
Turn ignition off.
STEP 8:
Release unlock button on driver door.
STEP 9:
Doors will lock and unlock automatically.
STEP 10:
Hold down lock and unlock buttons on the remote being programmed simultaneously until doors lock and
unlock. This may take up to 30 seconds.
STEP 11:
Repeat Step 10 for each additional remote (including any existing remotes).
STEP 12:
Turn ignition to on position to exit remote programming mode.
STEP 13:
Open windows, exit vehicle, close all doors and test all functions on each remote. If a remote does not
function correctly, repeat this procedure from Step 1.
