SAFETY INFORMATION

Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install
the product.
WARNING
When using outdoor portable lamps, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury, including the following:
• Use only three-wire outdoor extension cords that have three-prong grounding plugs, and
grounding receptacles that accept the item's plug.
• Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection should be provided in the circuit(s) or
outlet(s) to be used with the item. Receptacles with built-in GFCI protection are available
and are to be used for this measure of safety.
• If the item is to be used outdoors and/or exposed to other wet conditions, a
weatherproof type of receptacle shall be used in accordance with local electrical code.

PREPARATION

Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with
package contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Attach bottom stem (E) to base (F). Then, install
stem (D) into the bottom stem (E) and the
remaining stem (D) to the assembly. Set assembly
down and pull the cord taut from the center of
base (F). Then, set assembly back upright and
install socket (C) into the top stem (D).
2. Install light bulb (not included). Use one
60-watt max. standard-base incandescent bulb
or one 13-watt standard-base CFL.
3. Attach glass shade (B) to socket (C). Then,
place lamp shade (A) into the glass shade (B).
