4. Re-boot your computer when you are requested to do so.
5. Now connect the USB socket of the tiptel cyberBOX 100 to a free USB port
of our PC or notebook. Should your PC not dispose of a USB conform
interface (partly with notebooks), the telephone will possibly not be
recognized correctly. You could manage this by using a USB-hub
(preferrably active model) between the telephone and the USB port of your
PC.
6. Keep your original windows CD at hands, you might be requested to insert
it. Download the telephony software Skype®. You will find a link to this
software on our homepage an the end of the list of features of the tiptel
cyberBOX 100.
7. Install this software. Run "TiptelSkypeManager" and allow it to control
"Skype®". Otherwise, the device will not work.
8. Connect socket 2 'LINE' with your PSTN-line or an analogue extension of
your PABX using the cable of your existing telephone.
9. Connect your telephone with socket 3 'TEL' using the cable supplied.
10. You may use your telephone like you did before, the PC does not need to
be switched on.
11. In case the PC is switched on two times pushing the *-key on your phone
will connect it to the PC and you are able to make Skype® calls. This will be
indicated with the LED 'USB' switched on.
Attention: Using the TiptelSkypeManager you may select priority being
either 'USB' or 'PSTN'. So you may not need to use two times the *-key in
case you prefer using Skype®. However, selecting 'USB' as standard the
Caller-ID will not work with your phone anymore.
12. Within the Skype® software it is possible to create a short dial list. Typing in
the short dial number followed by the # -key will call the Skype®-user
immediately. You may have to dial two times the *-key first, of course.
13. You can now make telephone calls with your existing analogue telephone
via the PC using Skype®. In case your phone has a build-in answering
machine you even have a Skype® answering machine.
14. In case of any questions regarding the handling of the telephony software,
please contact Skype®.

Your contact for services arising from guarantee obligations is the authorised
dealer where you bought the device.
TIPTEL AG will grant a guarantee of 2 years from the date of handover for the
material and for the manufacturing of the telecommunications terminal unit.
If, however, problems occur or you have questions on operating the device,
please contact your local dealer.
