7. Connect your cables according to your need
⑨
The cable terminal
is available for all your required wired connections.
Please be careful during the process and gently screw the wires to the terminal block. There is no need to
force the screws, simply tighten enough for cables not to become loose.
✦ Power supply (12-24VDC +/-)
The caller station can run on batteries only. The observed battery life is 12 to 18 months.
Additionally or alternatively, you can connect a 12-24VDC power supply. This power can be provided via any source
(optional adaptor, gate power, solar panel, ...) as long as it is Direct Current (DC) and 12 or 24V.
If you use both batteries and DC power supply, the batteries will then act as backup battery (in case of power failure).
If connected to DC power, your caller station will benefit from two extra features:

✦ Optional external aerial
If necessary, an optional external aerial can be added to your installation. This aerial improves the wireless range by
avoiding the main obstacles in your environment: mounting wall, metal gate, wireless interference, trees, buildings, ...
By using an external aerial, your wireless signal will be sent from a better starting point. Simply screw the add on
