OLLOW HOOD INSTALLATION GUIDE STEPS
PRIOR TO WALL EXTENSION INSTALLATION
Due to the weight of this hood, ensure that the wood strip is
attached to all of the available studs (2 studs minimum for
36" width hood and 3 studs minimum for 48" or 60" width
hood); not into the wall alone.
Measure and mark a
level line on wall above
cooktop location for the
wood mounting strip.
Remove wood
mounting strip from
back of hood.
Center wood mounting
strip over location.
Use no. 10 x 2'' flat
head screws to secure
the mounting strip to
the wall.
Make sure to hit the
wall studs.
Insert house wiring through top, right hole.
Rest the back cavity of the wall extension on wood mounting
strip (provided with the hood). Secure upper portion of the wall
extension to wood mounting strip with (up to) 6 no. 8 x 5/8"
screws (included).
Drill two 3/16" diameter holes into the wall for wall anchors
through two of the existing lower holes of the wall extension.
Then, install both wall anchors, both washers and 2 no. 8 x 5/8"
screws (included).

Using pliers, unfold to 90° both wall extension metal tabs to
align hood during installation.

Remove the hood
electrical compartment
and insert house wiring
through hood wire
clamp.
Rest the back cavity of
the hood on wall
extension metal tabs.
Secure hood to wall
extension using 8
provided no. 10-32 x
1/2" quadrex screws (4
on both sides). See
illustration at right.
Tighten wire clamp.
