5. Verhalten bei Störungen
5.1. Störung: Lötbrenner brennt nicht oder nur schwach.
Ursache: ● Gasflasche leer.
● Gasflaschenventil geschlossen.
● Druck nicht richtig eingestellt.
● Schlauch defekt.
● Brennerdüse verstopft (siehe 4.).
5.2. Störung: Lötbrenner zündet nicht
(brennt jedoch mit fremder Zündung, z.B. Zündholz).
Ursache: ● Funkengenerator (Piezozünder) defekt.

6. Hersteller-Garantie

Die Garantiezeit beträgt 12 Monate nach Übergabe des Neuproduktes an den
Erstverwender. Der Zeitpunkt der Übergabe ist durch die Einsendung der
Original-Kaufunterlagen nachzuweisen, welche die Angaben des Kaufdatums
und der Produktbezeichnung enthalten müssen. Alle innerhalb der Garantiezeit
auftretenden Funktionsfehler, die nachweisbar auf Fertigungs- oder Material-
fehler zurückzuführen sind, werden kostenlos beseitigt. Durch die Mängelbe-
seitigung wird die Garantiezeit für das Produkt weder verlängert noch erneuert.
Schäden, die auf natürliche Abnutzung, unsachgemäße Behandlung oder
Missbrauch, Missachtung von Betriebsvorschriften, ungeeignete Betriebsmittel,
übermäßige Beanspruchung, zweckfremde Verwendung, eigene oder fremde
Eingriffe oder andere Gründe, die REMS nicht zu vertreten hat, zurückzuführen
sind, sind von der Garantie ausgeschlossen.
Garantieleistungen dürfen nur von einer autorisierten REMS Vertrags-Kunden-
dienstwerkstatt erbracht werden. Beanstandungen werden nur anerkannt, wenn
das Produkt ohne vorherige Eingriffe in unzerlegtem Zustand einer autorisierten
REMS Vertrags-Kundendienstwerkstatt eingereicht wird. Ersetzte Produkte
und Teile gehen in das Eigentum von REMS über.
Die Kosten für die Hin- und Rückfracht trägt der Verwender.
Die gesetzlichen Rechte des Verwenders, insbesondere seine Gewährleis-
tungsansprüche bei Mängeln gegenüber dem Verkäufer, werden durch diese
Garantie nicht eingeschränkt. Diese Hersteller-Garantie gilt nur für Neuprodukte,
welche in der Europäischen Union, in Norwegen oder in der Schweiz gekauft
und dort verwendet werden.
Für diese Garantie gilt deutsches Recht unter Ausschluss des Übereinkommens
der Vereinten Nationen über Verträge über den internationalen Warenkauf
(CISG).

General Power Tool Safety Warnings
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury, user must read and understand instruction manual.
The device has been built and operates safely in accordance with the state of the
art and the recognised rules of safety. Nevertheless dangers for the user or third
parties or material damage may arise from accidental use or use not for the intended
purpose. Therefore read and follow the safety instructions.
KEEP ALL SAFETY NOTES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FUTURE:
● Only use the device for the intended purpose and under observance of the general
safety and accident prevention regulations.
● Only employ trained personnel. Youths may only operate the device if they are
over 16 years of age, it is essential to achieve their training goal and they are
supervised by a specialist.
● Keep your workplace clean and well lit. Untidiness and unlit workplaces can lead
to accidents.
● Avoid dangerous ambient influences (e.g. inflammable liquids or gases).
● Do not expose the device to rain or use it in a damp or wet environment. Store
the device in a dry, safe place.
● Wear tightly fitting clothing, tie loose long hair, take off gloves, jewellery and
similar.
● Use personal safety equipment (e.g. protective glasses, ear protectors, dust
mask, non-slip safety shoes, helmet).
● Keep other persons and especially children away.
● Clamp the workpiece safely; do no hold with your hand.
● Avoid abnormal body posture. Make sure that you have a firm footing and keep
your balance at all times.
● Avoid accidental switching on.
● Do not overload the device. Renew tools in good time.
● Check the device from time to time for damage and proper function.
● Change worn parts immediately.
● Only use genuine spare parts for your own safety, to assure proper functioning
of the device and to uphold your warranty rights.
● All unauthorised modifications to the electrical device are prohibited for safety
reasons.
● Maintenance and repair work, especially interventions in the electrics may only
be performed by qualified personnel.
Specific Safety Warnings
WARNING
● The REMS Macho ignites and burns as soon as the trigger is operated. Avoid
unintentional ignition by closing the gas cylinder valve immediately after use and
allowing the residual gas in the torch and hoseline to burnoff.
● Regardless of whether the torch is lit or otherwise, never point it towards yourself
or any other person.
● When working in the open air, remember that in bright sunlight the flame may be
invisible and that, if the wind is blowing, only to work with the wind at your back.
● Before starting operations, remove any combustible materials and containers
containing flammable liquids well away from the area.
● Never heat a container which contains or has contained flammable liquids. In
particular, empty a near-empty containers of this type can contain highly explosive
gas mixtures.
● If it is necessary to lay the workpiece down for soldering or brazing, take care to
ensure that only fire-resistant bricks are used for support. Standard bricks,
concrete blocks, etc. can explode under extreme heat.
● Always wear safety goggles and, when necessary, protective clothing.
● Work only in a well ventilated area. Do not breathe in any gases or fumes produced
by soldering operations.
● Keep a fire extinguisher handy.
● From time to time, inspect the torch, gas hoses, gas cylinders and their valves
for damage and leaks. Replace if necessary. Use only officially a pproved acces-
sories.
● Gas cylinders contain liquid gas and are highly pressurized. Keep them away
from heat, stand them up vertically and secure them against falling over.
● Observe all safety and accident prevention regulations applicable to opera tions
involving acetylene.
Use for the intended purpose
WARNING
Use REMS Macho properly for hard and soft soldering, heating, annealing, burning
off, melting, thawing, shrinking and similar thermal processes with acetylene.
All other uses are not for the intended purpose and are prohibited.
