Remove from below the vehicle any protective sealant from the points of contact between the shell and the tow bar; then paint the
uncovered parts with rust preventer.
1.
Disassemble the rear bumper and eliminate the reinforcement's inner crossbeam.
2.
Loosen the exhaust pipe support's screw to allow through the left component "B" within the spar.
3.
Disassemble and eliminate the small rubber caps underneath the spars to free up the holes and gradually insert within the
holes components "C".
4.
Insert the left and right component "B" within the respective spars, in correspondence to holes "1", "2" and "3", insert screws
and then fix interjecting in position "1" the wide washers.
5.
Interject drawbeam "A" to components "B" previouslly installed with reference to holes "4" and "5", insert screws and then fix.
6.
Tighten all bolts and nuts with a tightening torque as shown in the enclosed layout.
7.
Connect the wiring to the socket (usually given apart), following the car booklet's instructions "use and maintenance" as
shown in the enclosed wiring kit layout.
8.
Depending on which vehicle we are fitting the tow bar, make a cut on the bumper's lower middle side, as shown in the
enclosed layout.
9.
Fold towards the inside or shear the bumper's fastening bracket to allow the socket holder to rotate, as shown in the
enclosed layout.
ONLY FOR LANCIA DELTA: detach from the reinforcement crossbeam the shock buffer middle absorber. Cut and eliminate

the two cylindrical supports which can be found on the buffer and through the use of masking tape or silicone apply the
above mentioned shock buffer absorber on the drawbeam's "A" middle side.
11.
Tighten the exhaust pipe support's screw and reassemble the rear bumper.
INVISIBLE AND SWIVELING SOCKETHOLDER FOR MODEL "C" AND "VM"
Make sure that the tow bar is suitable for the vehicle before starting the installation. Verify also that the vehicle's towing
disposal quoted on the car registration is mentioned on the tow bar document. Otherwise ask for the appropriate office
(umbrarimorchi@umbrarimorchi.it) for explanations or updated documents.
For safety, all work involving tow bar installation must be undertaken by skilled technicians.
Damaged components must be replaced with manufacturer's spares parts by qualified staff.
It is forbidden to make any modification or structural repair to the tow bar.
The tow ball must be kept clean and lubricated. For added safety, his diameter (50 mm) must be checked at regular
intervals. If the tow ball measures less than 49 mm after selected readings across the diameter, the tow ball must be
replaced with a new one.
After 1000 km of towing, check torque settings for nuts and bolts, in accordance with the table.
