Operating Instructions

BEFORE FIRST USE

Wash the pot, ceramic bowl, ring, baskets, and tongs in warm soapy water . Remove
the warning sticker from the electric base, wipe it with a damp cloth and wipe dry .
Due to the protective coatings used in the manufacturing of the product, there may
be a slight smoke and burnt smell for a few minutes during first use.
Carefully read the Important Warnings starting on page 4 before first use.

BASIC APPLIANCE INSTRUCTIONS

• Install the appliance on a flat, dry, heat-resistant surface in a well-ventilated room.
• Before plugging the power cord into a 120-volt outlet, make sure that the
temperature control is in the "off" position, indicated by a (·) dot .
• Your appliance has five temperature settings ranging from lowest (I) to highest
(IIIII). Use the heat controller to adjust the temperature during cooking to achieve
the desired result . The heating element will maintain the selected temperature .
• The indicator light will come on to show that the appliance is heating . The heating
element and indicator light switch off when the selected temperature level
is reached . The element will switch on again when it has cooled down .
• When you are done using the appliance, set the temperature control to the
"off" position identified by a (·) dot. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
WARNING: The electrical base becomes very hot during use. Always allow the
appliance to cool completely before handling.
