In the main menu, press "A-B/EQ" (long press) in order to quickly go to
the recording menu and to start the recording.

In the main menu, briefly press the "M" key and select "Record." This
quickly takes you to the recording menu in order to start the recording.

During the recording, press the "Play" key in order to stop or end a
recording. Briefly press the "A-B/EQ" key in order to stop the recording
and immediately begin playing back the new recording.
