ATTENTION!
To ensure an optimal fixation of the double sided adhesive tape the temperature at mounting should not be
lower than 15°C!
Mounting
1. Clean the mounting surface on the car thoroughly with the enclosed degreaser tissue.
2. Test fit the rear bumper protector on the car. Make sure that the tailgate does not touch the bumper protector.
If necessary, adjust the tailgate by means of the bump stops on LH and RH side (Fig. 1).
3. Mark the contour of the bumper protector on the bumper with a pencil.
4. Shake the 3M Primer 94 stick well before using. Bent the stick in the middle until you hear a clicking sound (Fig.
2).
5. Apply a thin uniform coating to the bumper, at the areas that correspond with the double sided tape on the
bumper protector. Do not spill primer outside the marked contour, since this may leave glossy stains.
6. Allow the primer to dry thoroughly before applying tape. This usually takes 5-10 minutes at room temperature.
7. Remove the protection foil of the double-sided adhesive tape on the rear bumper protector.
8. Place the rear bumper protector on the car and press well. Make sure that it is positioned exactly in the middle
of the bumper.
9. It will take several hours before the double sided adhesive tape will reach its optimal bond. To ensure this, the
car must be placed in a heated room for at least 12 hours at a temperature of at least 15 °C. Do not drive the
car during this period. Do not wash for 24 hours.
