Cabin Air Filter Removal
The information below explains necessary procedures and tools to remove and install the Cabin Air
Filter (CAF).
1. Open the hood.
2. Release the clip on the left of the passenger side
cowl cover and remove.
3. Temporarily remove the vacuum hose, from the left
and center of the passenger side cowl cover.
4. Remove the passenger side cowl cover.
(See Fig. 1)
5. Remove the rain shield.
NOTE: Only some vehicles have rain shields.
6. Remove the filter form the filter holder and
discard.

7. Insert the new CAF into the filter holder.
8. Reinstall the rain shield (if applicable), the cowl
cover, reattach the vacuum hose, reattach the
passenger side cowl cover clip. (See Fig. 2)
Noise Test
9. Reconnect the battery ground cable.
10. Engine ON, A/C ON, blower speed on high.
11. Listen for any abnormal air noises from the air
filter area.
