When should you test your filter?
Test your filter periodically. FilterWatch is calibrated
for your unit's "high" setting. If you typically operate
it at a lower speed, test your unit periodically by
running it at least one-half hour. If the red light
appears, it is time to replace the filter.
Which filter should you change?
There are two filters in your air purifier - a HEPA
Filter and Pre-Filter. When the FilterWatch indicator
lights, you should run the following "filter-test" to
determine which filters require replacement:
1. Install a new Pre-Filter, leaving the current
HEPA Filter in place.
2. Set the unit on "High" and allow it to run unin-
terrupted for one-half hour.
3. If the red FilterWatch indicator does not illumi-
nate, you don't need to replace the HEPA Filter.
4. If the red FilterWatch indicator lights again, you
will need to replace the HEPA Filter. (See
instructions on the HEPA Replacement Filter
package.)
