the tester, the rest of the method and the testing
junction is the same as described above.
2.In order to ensure correct result of the testing,
the probe must keep touching the gem after
hearing the sound of prompts. If the probe left
the stone during testing and touches the metal
or slides on the gem, it may cause wrong testing
results and should be retested.
Maintenance:
1.Take care of the probe with especial caution
as it is utter sensitive. Cover it with the protective
cover when it is not in use.
2.When the battery voltage is low and the red
Low Battery Indicator shines , it means a new
battery should be replaced in time to make sure a
precise testing.
3.Remove the battery when the instrument is
not in use for a long time
4.Suggest you to maintain and adjust the tester
once a year in order to assure its accuracy.

Special tips and advice:
1. High-quality AAA alkaline batteries ought to
be used in this tester. To make sure that each
battery is in good contact, it is better to gently
push the battery from negative side to positive
side with your finger when installing the battery.

2. Do not remove the black hose from the probe,
if removed it may result in a false detection.
The instrument should be used with bare hands
without gloves, otherwise it will lose its metal-
warning function
3. If the tested gem is below 0.2 Ct, it is not
appropriate to test the same gem frequently. The
small gem must be cooled down sufficiently for
3-6 seconds before the next test. In order to keep
the same result, keep the probe perpendicular
to the center of gem table, the probe should not
touch the metal around the gem in case of false
detection results.
4. The instrument has been calibrated when
leaving the factory, and generally there is no need
