1 Technical specifications
- Stable, robust metal body. The ergonomic positioning of the controls
beneath allows the user to rest his or her forearms on the table.
- Rust-proof, monocular head rotatable by 360º with an ocular tube inclined at
a 45º angle.
- 1 wide field 10 x ocular.
- Nosepiece adjustable to 4 positions equipped with the following objectives:

- Rack and pinion coarse adjustment and micrometric screw fine adjustment.

- Abbe condenser with a 1.25 numerical aperture, rack and pinion control,
with iris diaphragm and retractable filter holder for blue and green filters
(included).
- Light source built into the base with on/off switch and dimmer, 6 volt - 20
watt halogen lamp.
- Weight: 6.5 kg.
2 Setup
1. Remove the MEDIO microscope from the packaging, and remove the
various protective packaging items. Save all packaging material for long-
term storage or possible return shipment.
2. Place the monocular head in position, tighten the knurled fastening screw
WITHOUT jamming it. To adjust the head to your preference, it is necessary
to gently loosen the knurled screw.
3. Screw the four objectives (4 x, 10 x, 40 x and 100 x) onto the nosepiece in
order of increasing magnification.
4. Insert the ocular into the ocular tube.
Note: If you want to use your microscope with an external light source, you can
install a mirror (included with the MEDIO microscope) in place of the
light lens:
- unplug the microscope,
- unscrew the black metal light lens,
- srew in the support collar,
- clip the mirror into the support collar.
