When the oil simmers, immerse a piece of meat to check if the temperature is
-
sufficient (some bubbling may occur due to the water contained in the meat).
If the cooking time suits you, your appliance is ready for use.
-
When several pieces are immersed at the same time, the bubbling will become
-
stronger and you will have to use the thermostat to reduce the temperature of the oil.
During cooking you may have to adapt the thermostat setting several times in order
-
to find the ideal temperature, depending on the number of guests and the quantity
of oil.
Using the colour coded fondue forks, skewer the meat and place the forks carefully into
the oil to avoid splashes. Rest the fondue forks in the slots of the ring and wait until the
meat is cooked.
Do not cross the forks and drip the meat over the bowl before putting it on your plate.
You may wish to have a range of savoury sauces to accompany your fondue.
CLEANING
Unplug the deep fat fryer and wait until the unit is completely cool before cleaning.
Do not use strong detergents or abrasive cloths/liquid, as this will damage the deep fat
fryer. Clean the outside of the deep fat fryer with a warm, slightly damp cloth and dry
thoroughly. Never immerse the deep fat fryer or lid in water or any other liquid.
When changing the oil - take this opportunity to clean the interior of the bowl. Pour the oil
from the bowl and dry the interior of the bowl with absorbent paper. Then wipe the interior
of the bowl in warm soapy water. Attention: given the electronic unit under the appliance,
never immerse the item entirely in water. Dry thoroughly.
Change the oil regularly. Pour out the old oil from the bowl and dispose of oil thoughtfully.
Clean your deep fat fryer regularly. This will prolong the life of your deep fat fryer.
STORING
Wait until the deep fat fryer is completely cool before storing.
The unit can be stored with the oil inside. Ensure the lid is tightly closed to avoid dust
getting into the oil.
FILTER
Your deep fat fryer is fitted with an anti-odour filter situated behind the grid on the bottom of
the lid.
Clean the lid's filter regularly. To do so, unscrew the screws that are locking the grid under the
filter and remove the grid. Clean the filter in soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. Put the filter
back into position, close the grid and tighten the screws.
PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT – DIRECTIVE 2002/96/EC
