Hot swapping during operation may result in wreckage of the HDD.

Removing any HDD will result in re-detection of both or connected HDD by OS. In the
meantime, file transferring in progress will be forced to stop, leading to file corruption.
In conclusion, to prevent the above damage, it is strongly recommended that the device must
be powered off and HDD fully stopped before removing.
HDD sector support: 512byte vs. 4KB
This device only supports 512byte sector-based HDDs. 4KB sector-based HDDs (the advanced
format) will be asked for formatting before the operation. All data will be lost. Make sure
that you back up all data before using 4KB sector-based HDD with this device.
