CONNECTOR CLOSING SYSTEMS. ROLLEX is with automatic lever closing; ROLLEX-SG, is with screw nut
locking system. ROLLEX offer maximum resistance when the gate is closed and the load is being applied in
the longitudinal direction (Fig. II). The resistance is lower if the load is applied in any other direction, e.g. tri-
loading (Fig. III) or traverse loading (Fig. IV).
LABELLING. On the connector you find: CE code; Batch number (0000); Maximum guaranteed breaking
load: longitudinal axis; traverse loading; longitudinal axis / open gate; Logo telling user to read carefully
instructions before use; Warning! Do not remove markings on the device and check that these are all legible
even after use.
CHECKS. Before every usage check: the rivet for firmness; that the locking system and roll are working
properly compare to its original state; that there is no dirt (e.g. sand); that there are no signs of wear, cracking,
corrosion or deformation. Especially in case of severe wear of the guiding surface the ROLLEX should not
be used anymore. This is the case when the recess is deeper than 0,5 mm and when sharp edges can be
perceived at heptic testing; Warning! Sharp edges could damage the slackline. In case of doubt, return the
product to manufacturer for inspection. During each use check: that the connector is loaded in the correct
direction (Fig. II); the gate closes perfectly and locks; that no obstacle interferes with the connector and that
the connector is not resting on the rock or another structure.
WARNINGS. The device has been designed to be used in weather conditions that can normally be withstood
by humans (temperature of use within -20°C and +40°C). All the materials and treatments are hypoallergenic
and do not cause skin irritation or sensitivity. Accidental opening of the gate due to knocks, pressure or
vibration reduces substantially the load-bearing capacity of the connector. Warning! Avoid putting loads
onto the connector's gate and do not open it under load.
EN 12275 CLASSIFICATION. ROLLEX is an oval connector (type X): designed mainly for slacklinining, with no
full protection in case of dropping load.
ROLLEX USE INSTRUCTIONS. ROLLEX has been designed for the following purpose: Static load, as a pulley
element to tension slacklines of a width of 24-26 mm (Fig. V); Dynamic load, as transportation device to roll
on slacklines of a width of 24-26 mm. Recommendation: tie off ROLLEX to a fix point (i.e. harness) to avoid
accidental dropping while setting up (Fig. VI).
APPLICATION AS PULLEY-ELEMENT WITH STATIC LOAD (Fig. VII). ROLLEX must be in the slackline system
only during tensioning. Note carefully! As soon as the tensioning process is over, no ROLLEX must remain
in the system. Warning! A static load higher than 4 kN should be avoided as the ball bearings in the roll might
be damaged otherwise.
APPLICATION AS TRANSPORTATION DEVICE WITH DYNAMIC LOAD (Fig. VIII to XI). It is important to know
that the ROLLEX must not be used as the only safety when used as transportation device. Warning! Even
version with a screw gate must never be used as the only safety. Warning! Dynamic load (with rotating roll)
should not exceed 4 kN. Vibration that occur when rolling over the line or wind can cause the fate to unscrew.
Gliding speed when rolling over a slackline must always be controllable, especially when the slacklines has
slopes downwards. Higher speeds than 10 km/h can heat up the ROLLEX due to friction, which could have
damaging influence on the webbing, especially on dyneema webbing that has very low melting point. Robust
gloves are recommended when rolling over a slackline with steep slope so that the speed can be controlled
better. Warning! Breaking with bare hands can lead to burn. Using two ROLLEX in opposite direction is the
only way to use the ROLLEX on highline without a leash. Also in this case the ROLLEX should be used only
as transportation device and not as device to catch a fall from the slackline.

Slacklinen (vor allem Highlinen) und Klettern sind potenziell gefährliche Sportarten. Fehler und

Komponenten ohne gegenseitige Interferenzen funktionieren. Achtung! Überprüfen Sie stets die eventuell
eingesetzten Slackline auf ihre Kompatibilität: Manche sind aufgrund verschiedener Faktoren (mögliche
Oberflächenbehandlung, nasse oder vereiste Slackline) mehr oder weniger rutschig. Achtung! Verwenden
Sie eine Vorrichtung nicht außerhalb seiner Einsatzbeschränkungen bzw. für andere als die vorgesehenen
Zwecke! Jeder ist für sein eigenes Tun und Handeln verantwortlich: Wer nicht in der Lage ist, diese
Selbstverantwortung zu übernehmen, sollte diese Vorrichtungen
Herstellerhaftung beschränkt sich auf Herstellungsfehler und Mängel der verwendeten Materialien.
Achtung! Das Tragen persönlicher Schutzausrüstung rechtfertigt nicht, sich Risiken, auch potenziell
tödlichen, auszusetzen. Achtung! Es bestehen vielfältige Möglichkeiten des unsachgemäßen oder falschen
Einsatzes und einzig die als korrekt angeführten Arten sind zulässig. Alle anderen Einsatzarten gelten als
verboten.
VORRICHTUNGEN FÜR DEN PERSÖNLICHEN GEBRAUCH. Jede Vorrichtung ist strikt für den persönlichen
Gebrauch vorgesehen. Falls es von einem Zweitnutzer verwendet wird, sind vor und nach dem Einsatz an

vermerken. Achtung! Verwenden Sie niemals eine Vorrichtung, wenn Sie nicht über seine vollständige
Nutzungsdauer Bescheid
(Bedienungsanleitung, eventuelles Kontrollblatt usw.).
NUTZUNGSDAUER. Die reale Nutzungsdauer einer Vorrichtung kann nicht genau vorhergesagt werden, da
sie von unzähligen Faktoren (Einsatzumgebung, klimatischen Aspekten, Lagerungszustand und der
Nutzungsintensität) beeinflusst wird. Man kann die maximale Lebensdauer jedoch basierend auf einer
anfänglichen Phase optimaler Lagerung und einer darauf folgenden Betriebszeit schätzen. Diese sollten
jedoch nach 10 Jahren ausgetauscht werden. Achtung! Die Nutzungsdauer einer Vorrichtung kann sich im
Fall von Ausnahmesituationen auch auf einen einmaligen Einsatz beschränken (schwere Stürze,
Extremtemperaturen, Kontakt mit schädigenden chemischen Substanzen, scharfe Kanten usw.). Bei
Unsicherheiten in Bezug auf die Funktionsfähigkeit und den ordnungsgemäßen Erhaltungszustand einer
Vorrichtung setzen Sie es bitte nicht ein und kontaktieren sofort den Sicherheitsverantwortlichen oder den
Hersteller.
ENTFERNUNG. Stoppen Sie den Einsatz der Vorrichtung umgehend: wenn die maximale Nutzungsdauer
überschritten wurde; falls veraltet, mit moderneren Geräten inkompatibel oder aufgrund geänderter
Normen überholt; wenn das Ergebnis der Kontrollen nicht zufriedenstellend war, falls Sie von seinem
ordnungsgemäßen Zustand nicht überzeugt sind und falls es im Zusammenhang mit der Vorrichtung zu
einem Ausnahmeereignis oder zu einem schweren Sturz gekommen ist. Auch wenn bei der Sichtprüfung
keine Beschädigung oder Beeinträchtigung festgestellt werden kann, könnte seine ursprüngliche
Widerstandsfähigkeit deutlich herabgesetzt sein. Achtung! Zerstören Sie abgelegte Produkte sofort, damit
sie nicht erneut eingesetzt werden.
MANIPULATION UND REPARATUR. Jegliche Veränderung oder Manipulation führt umgehend zum Verfall
des Garantierechts und ist verboten, da dadurch die Vorrichtungssicherheit gefährdet wird. Reparaturen
dürfen so weit wie möglich ausschließlich vom Hersteller bzw. von durch diesen ausdrücklich befähigtes
Personal, ausgeführt werden.
SCHMIERUNG. Bewegliche Teilesind zu schmieren. Verwenden Sie dazu ausschließlich Ölspray auf
Silikonbasis. Achtung! Überschüssiges Öl begünstigt das Haften von Staub und Schmutz. Entfernen Sie
eventuelles überschüssiges Öl mit einem weichen Tuch. Achtung! Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Schmierung
nicht das korrekte Interagieren zwischen der Vorrichtung und anderen Systemkomponenten (z. B. Slackline)
beeinträchtigt.
WARTUNG UND REINIGUNG. Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit Hitzequellen, scheuernden und schneidenden
Materialien, korrosiven Substanzen und Lösungsmitteln. Die Reinigung ist mit klarem Wasser und, falls nötig,
einer geringen Menge neutraler Seife für hartnäckigeren Schmutz vorzunehmen. Nehmen Sie ein sauberes
und nicht scheuerndes Tuch zu Hilfe. Verwenden Sie zur Desinfektion Ammoniumsalze (gemäß den dem
Produkt beiliegenden Sicherheitsanweisungen verdünnt). Lassen Sie feuchte oder nasse Vorrichtungen im
Freien und geschützt vor direkter Hitzeeinwirkung trocknen.
LAGERUNG UND TRANSPORT. Setzen Sie die Vorrichtungen keinen aggressiven chemischen Substanzen,
hartnäckigem Staub oder Schmutz bzw. Umgebungen mit hohem Salzgehalt aus. Während des Transports
darf es zu keiner Druckausübung, keinem direkten Sonnenlicht und keinem Kontakt mit schneidenden
Werkzeugen kommen. Lassen Sie die Vorrichtungen nicht im Auto oder in geschlossenen Räumen mit
Sonneneinstrahlung.
GARANTIE. Drei Jahre ab dem Kaufdatum; gültig für alle Herstellungsfehler und Mängel der verwendeten
Materialien. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind: normaler Verschleiß, unsachgemäße Wartung und
Lagerung, falscher oder ungeeigneter Einsatz, nicht erlaubte Eingriffe oder Reparaturen, mangelnde
Einhaltung der Bedienungsanweisungen. Der Hersteller weist jegliche Haftung in Bezug auf direkte, indirekte
oder zufällige Folgen zurück, einschließlich aller Schäden aufgrund der unsachgemäßen Verwendung der
Vorrichtungen und auch des ordnungsgemäßen Einsatzes in zur Gewährleistung entsprechender
Sicherheitsstandards ungeeigneten Situationen. Sollten die Geräte außerhalb des ursprünglichen
Bestimmungslandes verkauft werden, ist es für die Sicherheit des Benutzers unerlässlich, dass der Händler
die Gebrauchsanweisung in einer Sprache liefert, die vom Benutzer verstanden wird. Dies gilt auch für die
Anleitungen zur Wartung, Reparatur und regelmäßigen Kontrolle.
SPEZIFISCHE ANWEISUNGEN EN 12275 ROLLEX

KARABINER-VERSCHLUSSSYSTEME. ROLLEX mit Automatik-Schnapper: ohne Blockiersystem; ROLLEX-SG
mit Schraubverschluss. Die ROLLEX bietet maximalen Widerstand, wenn das Tor geschlossen ist und die
Last in Längsrichtung angelegt wird (Fig. II). Der Widerstand ist geringer, wenn die Last in einer anderen
Richtung angelegt wird, z.B. Dreifachbeladung (Fig. III) oder Querladung (Fig. IV).
MARKIERUNG. Auf dem Karabiner befinden sich folgende Angaben: CE-Markierung; Lot-Nummer (0000);
garantierte Maximalkraft: Hauptachse; Nebenachse; Hauptachse/offener Schnapper; Hinweis, dass die
Vorrichtung für den Gebrauch durch nur eine Person konzipiert worden ist;
KONTROLLEN. Vor jedem Einsatz ist sicherzustellen: die Nietfestigkeit; dass das Verriegelungssystem und
die Rolle im Vergleich zu ihrem ursprünglichen Zustand ordnungsgemäß funktionieren und keine
Verschmutzungen aufweist (z. B. Staub); dass es keine Anzeichen von Verschleiß, Rissbildung, Korrosion
oder Verformung gibt. Insbesondere bei starker Abnutzung der Führungsfläche, sollte die ROLLEX nicht
mehr verwendet werden. Dies ist der Fall, wenn die Aussparung tiefer als 0,5 mm ist und scharfe Kanten
bei der haptischen Prüfung wahrgenommen werden können;Kontrollieren Sie bei jedem Einsatz: Der
Karabiner muss richtungsgerecht belastet werden (Fig. II); dass der Schnapper perfekt schließt und die

ENGLISH GENERAL INSTRUCCTION FOR USE
TRAINING AND PHYSICAL FITNESS. Activities related to the use of device are potentially dangerous and it
must only be used by trained and experienced persons. Before using the device, it is essential to: have
received adequate training and instruction and, where required, specific training for the use of the devices;
be familiar with the device; be in perfect psycho-physical shape. Slacklinining (especially highlining) and
climbing are potentially dangerous sports. Errors and carelessness can lead to serious injuries or even to
death. Warning! Consumption of alcohol or psychotropics, including medication that may alter perception,
balance and concentration, is to be avoided.
WARNINGS BEFORE USE. Before usage: read carefully the instructions and ensure that you fully understand
them; ensure that all equipment is in perfect operating conditions, that it is appropriate for the intended
use and that all the elements and components are compatible with each other and comply with the rules,
regulations and directives currently in place; check that the system is assembled correctly and that the
various components work without interfering with one another. Warning! Always check that any webbing
used are compatible with the system: in fact, some webbing can slide more or less depending on different
factors (surface treatments, wet or frozen webbing). Warning! Do not use a device for activities that exceed
its limitations or for uses that are different to those intended! Each individual is responsible for his/her own
choices and actions: anyone who is not capable of assuming this responsibility must not use these devices
under any circumstances. The responsibility of the manufacturer is limited defectiveness related to
manufacturing and the materials used. Warning! Equipping oneself with individual protection devices does
not justify exposing oneself to risks that are potentially lethal. Warning! There are many incorrect or
erroneous usage procedures and only the procedures indicated as correct are allowed: all other possible
usage procedures must be considered forbidden.
DEVICES FOR PERSONAL USE. Each device is to be considered strictly for personal use. If it should be used
by a second user, carry out a check of the device before and after usage and, where required, take note of
the relevant data and information on the appropriate form. Warning! Never use a device whose complete
history is unknown to you or that does not have the correct documents (instructions for use, any checking
forms, etc.).
LIFE SPAN. The actual device life span cannot be predicted precisely, as it is influenced by many factors
(environment of use, weather factors, storage conditions, frequency and intensity of use, etc.) but it is
possible to estimate its maximum life span, which is constituted by an initial period of optimum storage and
by a period of operational life. It is advisable to replace them after 10 years of use. Warning! The life span
of a device can be limited even to just one use, where it is involved in an exceptional event (hard falls or
swinging falls, extreme temperatures, contact with harmful chemical agents or sharp edges, etc.). In case
of doubts on the functioning and good conservation state of a device, do not use it and contact immediately
your reference person of safety matters or the manufacturer.
ELIMINATION. Stop using the device immediately: if the maximum life span has been exceeded; if it is
obsolete, incompatible with more modern devices or outclassed due to standards' updates; if the result of
the checks is not satisfactory; if you are not certain that the device is in a good condition; if it has been
exposed to an exceptional event or a hard fall: even if there is no visible defect or degradation, its initial
strength and resistance could be seriously diminished. Warning! Destroy discarded products to avoid any
further use.
TAMPERING AND REPAIRS. Any alteration or tampering immediately voids the guarantee, and is forbidden
as it can compromise the safety of the device itself. Repairs, where feasible, must be carried out exclusively
by the manufacturer or by staff that has been expressly authorised to do so by the manufacturer.
LUBRICATION. If needed, lubricate any mobile parts of the metal devices using only silicone based oil spray.
Warning! An excessive quantity of oil encourages dirt and dust to stick. Remove any excess oil using a cloth.
Warning! Check that the lubrication does not compromise the interaction between the device and the other
components of the system (e.g. webbing).
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING. Avoid contact with sources of heat, abrasive and sharp objects, corrosive
substances or solvents. Wash with clean water and if necessary, add a small amount of neutral soap to
remove persistent dirt; use a clean and non-abrasive cloth. To disinfect, use diluted ammonium salts
according to the safety instructions provided with the product. If the devices is damp or wet, leave them to
dry out in the open air far from direct heat sources.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT. For optimal storage, put away the devices completely dry at room temperature
in well ventilated areas. Do not expose the devices to chemically aggressive substances, persistent dusts or
dirt or environments with high concentrations of salt. During transport, avoid compressions, exposure to
direct sunlight and contact with sharp objects. Do not leave the devices in the car or in closed environments
that are exposed to the sun.
GUARANTEE. The guarantee is valid for 3 years as from the purchase date and covers for any manufacturing
defect or defect in the materials used. The following are excluded from the guarantee: normal wear,
inadequate maintenance and storage, incorrect or improper usage, unauthorised tampering or repairs, lack
of observance of the instructions for use. The manufacturer declines all liabilities concerning the direct,
indirect or accidental consequences, including any consequence that derives from the incorrect use of the
devices, including correct use of the device in unsuitable situations that do not ensure proper safety levels.

wichtig zu wissen, dass die ROLLEX nicht als einzige Sicherheit als Transportmittel verwendet werden darf.
Warnung! Sogar die Version mit einem Schraubverschluss darf niemals als einzige Sicherheit verwendet
werden. Warnung! Die dynamische Belastung (mit rotierender Walze) sollte 4 kN nicht überschreiten.
Vibrationen, die beim Rollen über die Schnur oder durch Wind auftreten, dies kann zum Abschrauben
führen. Die Gleitgeschwindigkeit beim Überrollen einer Slackline muss immer kontrollierbar sein,
insbesondere wenn die Slacklines nach unten geneigt sind. Bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten als 10 km/h

ingestión de sustancias alcohólicas o psicotrópicas, incluidos los medicamentos que pueden alterar la
percepción, estabilidad y atención, se debe evitar obligatoriamente.
ADVERTENCIAS ANTES DE SU USO. Antes de su uso: lea y comprenda las instrucciones generales o
específicas que deben acompañar obligatoriamente a cada dispositivo; asegúrese de que el equipo en su
integridad se encuentre en perfecto estado de funcionamiento, adecuado al uso previsto y que todos los
elementos sean compatibles entre ellos y conforme a las reglas, normas y directivas vigentes; verifique que
el sistema se encuentre correctamente ensamblado y que los diversos componentes funcionan sin interferir
el uno con el otro. ¡Atención! Verifique siempre la compatibilidad de las eventuales cinchas empleadas:
algunas de ellas pueden ser más o menos corredizas a causa de diversos factores (eventuales tratamientos
superficiales, cinchas húmedas o congeladas). ¡Atención! No utilice un dispositivo fuera de sus limitaciones
o para usos diversos de los previstos! Cada uno es responsable de sus propias elecciones y acciones: quien
no se encuentre capacitado para asumir tal responsabilidad no deberá usar en absoluto estos dispositivos.
La responsabilidad del fabricante está limitada a los defectos de fabricación y a los materiales utilizados.
¡Atención! Contar con un equipo de protección individual no justifica la exposición a riesgos, potencialmente
mortales. ¡Atención! Las formas de uso inadecuadas o erróneas son múltiples y sólo se admiten las formas
indicadas como correctas: todas las demás formas de uso posibles deben ser consideradas prohibidas.
DISPOSITIVOS DE USO PERSONAL. Cada dispositivo se considera para uso estrictamente personal. En caso
de uso por parte de un segundo usuario, realice un control del dispositivo antes y después de su uso y, de
ser necesario, anote los datos en la ficha adecuada. ¡Atención! Nunca utilice un dispositivo del cual no se
conozca el curso de vida completo o no cuente con documentación correcta (instrucciones de uso, eventual
ficha de control, etc.).
DURACIÓN DE VIDA UTIL. Es difícil predeterminar con precisión la duración de vida útil real de un
dispositivo, ya que está influenciada por múltiples factores (ambiente de uso, factores climáticos,
condiciones de almacenamiento, frecuencia e intensidad del uso, etc.) sin embargo, es posible estimar la
duración de vida útil máxima formada por un periodo inicial de almacenamiento óptimo y por un periodo
de vida operative, pero es preferible sustituirlos después de 10 años de utilización. ¡Atención! La duración
de vida útil de un dispositivo puede estar limitada también a un simple uso, donde existe un evento
excepcional (fuertes caídas, temperaturas extremas, contacto con agentes químicos dañinos o bordes
afilados, etc.). En caso de dudas sobre el funcionamiento y el buen estado de conservación de un dispositivo,
evite su uso y contacte inmediatamente al referente de la seguridad o al fabricante mismo.
ELIMINACIÓN. Interrumpir inmediatamente el uso del dispositivo: si se ha excedido la duración de vida útil
máxima; si resultara obsoleto, incompatible con dispositivos más modernos o excedido por causa de las
actualizaciones normativas; si el resultado de los controles no es satisfactorio; si tiene dudas sobre el buen
estado del mismo; si este dispositivo ha sido sometido a un evento excepcional o a una fuerte caída: aún si
ningún defecto o degradación pudiera constatarse en un examen visual, su resistencia inicial podría verse
disminuida seriamente. ¡Atención! Destruya los productos descartados para evitar posteriores usos.
ALTERACIONES Y REPARACIONES. Cualquier alteración o mala manipulación invalidará inmediatamente
el derecho a la garantía y queda prohibida debido a que puede comprometer la seguridad del dispositivo
mismo. Las reparaciones, de ser posible, deben ser realizadas exclusivamente por el fabricante o por
personal expresamente autorizado por el fabricante mismo.
LUBRICACIÓN. Cuando sea necesario, lubrique las partes móviles usando exclusivamente aceite en
rociador de base de silicona. ¡Atención! La cantidad excesiva de aceite favorece la adhesión de polvo o
suciedad. Retire con un paño el aceite en exceso restante. ¡Atención! Verifique que la lubricación no
comprometa la correcta interacción entre el dispositivo y otros componentes del sistema (ej. cinchas).
