• Do not wear any metal or conductive materials, such as jewellery (necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc.),
while you are working with the charger (charging station and plug-in mains adapter) or rechargeable
battery. Short-circuit poses a danger of burns and explosion.
• Never short-circuit the contacts of the charging station or plug-in mains adapter.
• The charging station and the plug-in mains adapter must only be used in dry, closed indoor rooms. Avoid
direct sun irradiation, strong heat or cold. Keep the charging station and the mains adapter away from
dust and dirt.
• The charging station and the plug-in mains adapter must never become moist or wet. There is a fatal
danger from electric shock otherwise!
Do not place any containers with liquids, e.g. buckets, vases or plants, in direct proximity of the charging
station or plug-in mains adapter.
If the charging station or plug-in mains adapter have become moist or wet or damaged (e.g. the housing
or cable), do not touch them. Danger to life from electric shock! First deactivate all sides of the mains
socket to which the mains adapter is connected (e.g. switch off the respective fuse or turn out the fuse.
Then deactivate the FI protection switch).
Then unplug the mains adapter from the mains socket. Disconnect the rechargeable battery from the
charging station. Do not use the charging station and the plug-in mains adapter anymore, but take them
to a specialised workshop or dispose of them in an environmentally friendly manner.
c) Rechargeable Battery
• Never charge a rechargeable battery unobserved.
• The rechargeable battery is not a toy. Always keep rechargeable battery out of the reach of children.
• T he rechargeable battery must never be short-circuited, disassembled or thrown into fire. There is a risk
of fire and explosion!
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause chemical burns to skin when touched
without the use of adequate protective gloves.
• The rechargeable battery must not become moist or wet; also protect the rechargeable battery from cold,
heat and solar irradiation. If this is not observed, not only the service life of the rechargeable battery will
reduce, but it may also be damaged. There also is a danger of explosion in extreme cases!
• As the charging station, the plug-in mains adapter as well as the connected rechargeable battery heat
up during the charging process, it is necessary to ensure sufficient ventilation. Never cover the charging
station, the plug-in mains adapter or the rechargeable battery!
• T he rechargeable battery fits into the charging station or the cordless screw driller only in one direction.
Never insert the rechargeable battery into the charging station or the cordless screw driller with force.
• When the rechargeable battery is charged, remove it from the charging station and then disconnect the
plug-in mains adapter from the mains voltage; pull it from the mains socket.
• Do not charge the rechargeable battery while it is still hot (e.g. due to operation in the cordless screw
driller). Allow the battery to cool down to room temperature before charging it again.
• N ever charge a damaged, leaked or deformed rechargeable battery. This can result in a fire or explosion!
Dispose of such unusable rechargeable batteries in an environmentally compatible fashion. Do not con-
tinue to use them.
