Granite Base
Assembly and User Manual
Carefully read through the
complete assembly instruc-
tions and user manual, par-
ticularly the safety instructions. Failure to
heed these safety instructions may result
in severe injury or damage to the granite
base. Store the assembly instructions
and user manual for future reference and
always include them when passing the
granite base on to third parties.
Your safety
Please observe the following
safety notes. The manufactur-
er is not liable for damage as
the result of failure to comply.
The granite base is not a children's toy.
Children could crush their fingers or feet.
Never leave the granite base unattend-
ed when in an upright position – if it falls
over, it could result in severe injury.
Only use shades weighing no more than
15 kg in combination with this granite
base.
Only use middle-pole shades in combi-
nation with this granite base.
The insertion depth of the pole must at
least amount to 200 mm.
Keep in mind that, depending on wind in-
tensity and diameter of the shade, this
granite base may also be too "light".
Make sure that the shade is closed in the
event of incoming wind.
Proper use
Depending on the model, the gran-
ite base is suitable as a stand for sun
shades with a pole diameter of no more
than 60 mm.
The granite base is intended for domes-
tic use only. It is not suitable for commer-
cial use.

Before you use the granite base, please
first carefully read through the safety
notes. Only in this way, will you be able
to use the base in a safe and reliable
manner.
Be absolutely sure to observe the nation-
al regulations in force in your country,
which also apply in addition to the regu-
lations in these instructions.
Mounting the stand tube
You will need:
– the enclosed socket wrench
– the help of 1 person
1. Lift the granite base and place it up-
right on one of its lateral surfaces.
Have a second person hold the
base!
2. Put the small rubber disc 1, the shim 2
and the snap ring 3 over the screw 4.
3. Run the screw through the granite
base from the bottom (see figure A).
4. Push the large rubber disc 5 on the
top of the granite base over the thread
of the screw 4 (see figure A).
5. Screw the threaded hole of the stand
tube 6 onto the screw 4 and tighten it.
6. Carefully tilt the granite base back to
the ground.
Using the inserts
Use the inserts that correspond to the
size of your sunshade pole.
1. Insert the required inserts in the stand
tube (see figure B).
2. The clamping plate located inside the
tube behind the T-screw 7 must be
pushed into the notch 8 of the plas-
tic inserts.
3. Insert the shade pole and tighten the
T-screws 7.
