Informations for your safety and notes on disposal

Before use
• Please read these instructions carefully as they contain important information concer-
ning the use, safety, care and maintenance of the appliance. Keep these Operating
Instructions in a safe place and pass them on to any subsequent owner of the appli-
ance.
• Fakir appliances conform with the currently accepted rules of engineering and safety
laws.
• Fakir appliances fulfil the demands of the EC Guidelines 69/336/ECC "Electromagne-
tic Compatibility" and 73/23/ECC "Low-Voltage Guideline". The appliance is marked
with the CE symbol on the rating plate.
• Fakir reserves the right to modify designs and specifications without notice.
Important information
• Do not use the appliance if the case is visibly damaged (cracks/breaks), the power
supply cable is defective, or if an invisible fault is suspected (e.g. if dropped).
• The device should only be connected to the mains if the voltage rating specified on the
type plate matches the mains voltage.
• The power socket must be protected by an automatic fuse (at least 16 A).
• The appliance must not be installed and operated in a vehicle.
• Fakir does not accept any liability for possible damage resulting from incorrect opera-
tion, incompetent repair and maintenance, or the appliance was misused for a purpo-
se for which it was not intended.
• Faultless operation of the appliance requires the use of an air filter. The appliance
must not be used without a filter.
• Check the air filter regularly and clean or exchange in keeping with the operating
instructions.
• The cable must be uncoiled before the appliance is used.
• Only an authorized Fakir service workshop is entitled to exchange the power supply
cable.
• All repairs should be completed by a Fakir service workshop (see enclodes list of
addresses). Improper repairs can be hazardous for the user.
• The appliance does not require any elaborate care and maintenance.
• This household appliance is intended exclusively for dehumidifying rooms in the home;
it must not be used for any other purpose.
• The appliance must be transported in an upright (vertical) position or on its side. The
tank must be drained of condensed water before the appliance is transported. Wait for
at least one hour after transporting or before the appliance is set into operation again.
• Doors and windows must be closed to dehumidify rooms. The operating range of the
appliance is between 5-35°C room temperature.
• Disconnect the power supply plug from the mains socket when the appliance is not in
use for extended periods (e.g. holidays).
