The ManaPac is designed to simplify ManaBloc
installations by providing the contractor an easy way to
install Viega PureFlow PEX tubing from a disposable plastic
reel.
You will need to locate a suitable support tube to
mount the ManaPacs. This can be done by using
a scrap piece of pipe or tubing from the job site
that is no more than 1¼" in diameter and long enough to
extend across 3 studs in framed wall (approx. 32"). Support
tubing must be strong enough to support both reels
(approx. 25 lbs each).
1. Locate four available studs (16" on center) that are
adjacent to each other.
2. Drill 1¼" diameter holes in studs (1), (2) and (3),
centered to the width of the stud and no less than two
feet from the floor. (Stud (4) does not require a drill
hole.)
3. Remove the ManaPacs from their box leaving their
plastic wrap in place.
4. Align the first ManaPac between studs (2) and (3)
while inserting the guide tube through the hole in stud
(3), through the reel and then into the hole in stud (2).
5. Align the second ManaPac between studs (1) and (2),
sliding the support pipe through the reel and into the
hole in stud (1).
6. Remove plastic wrap when ready to install tubing.
Note: If there is not enough room to fit the ManaPacs
between three studs you can mount them to the face of
these studs. Simply insert the support tube through both
ManaPacs, align them with the adjacent stud openings. Lift
the ManaPacs into place and anchor the support tubing
to the stud face at both ends and the middle stud with
J-clamps or appropriate fasteners that can hold their weight.
