nozzle (5) or the inlet used to refill the tank
(7).
• Place the appliance in the selected area,
following the indications specified in the
Warnings paragraph.
• Connect the power cable plug (11) to a
mains socket that is easy for adults only to
access.
SWITCHING THE APPLIANCE ON AND OFF
• Push the ON/OFF button to the (l) position;
the indicator LED (2) inside the tank will light
up (Diag. E).
• Adjust the direction of the steam flow by
moving the nozzle (5) (Diag. F), making sure
it is not directed towards people, furniture,
curtains, walls, electrical appliances or
objects that may be sensitive to heat, water
and/or humidity.
Warning: the steam flow will only
start to be released after the appliance has
been switched on for about 4 minutes.
Warning: never approach your face
or hands to the steam nozzle (5) or obstruct
it with any objects. The temperature of the
steam could cause series burns.
Warning: when the water in the tank
(3) reaches the minimum operating level,
the appliance will stop heating after a few
minutes, the on/off button (1) will remain
in the (I) position and the indicator LED (2)
will switch off. Switch off the appliance by
pressing the switch (1) to the (0) position
(Diag. E), disconnect the plug from the power
socket and refill the water tank as indicated
in the Preliminary Operations paragraph.
Warning: the appliance is fitted with
an automatic device that switches off the
heating element (10) used to produce the
steam when there is no water left in the tank
(3).
In order to start the steam dispenser again,
you must first switch the device off, wait for
the heating element to cool down enough
and then press the switch (1) to turn it back
on again.
Warning: never remove the lid cover
unit (8) before switching off the appliance
and disconnecting the power cable plug from
the mains socket.
• To switch off the appliance, press the button
(1) to the (0) position (Diag. E).
Warning: when the appliance has
been switched off, the water contained in
the heating tank (10) could continue to boil
for some minutes.
WARNING: if the outer surfaces
(including the base) of the product are wet
after filling or emptying the tank, dry them
immediately with a clean cloth before
plugging the cable into the mains and
switching the appliance ON.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
How to clean the water tank, the heating
tank and the lid
During normal operation, the salts contained
in the water could cause the formation of scale
residues in the steam duct and heating tank
(10). The formation of scale residues could
take place more or less quickly, depending on
the type of water, its hardness and frequency
of use of the appliance. The harder the water,
the quicker the formation of scale residues.
Scale residues decrease performance and
could compromise the normal functions of
the appliance. It is therefore recommended
to descale the appliance, at least once a
week, as indicated below:
1. use the hand grip (9) to open the lid (8).
2. remove the steam duct from its seat inside
the tank by turning it clockwise.
3. Fill the water tank with cold drinking
water.
4. Rinse it out several times allowing the
water to flow through the holes at the back
of the appliance (12), making sure you do not
