Construction-Box: Electric Circuits
General instructions for the Construction Box: Electric Circuits
Please keep these instructions for future reference.
Field of application and correct use
• The Construction Box: Electric Circuits is to be used exclusively for teaching purposes.
• Children are not to use the Construction Box: Electric Circuits unless supervised by adults
• Only use batteries type AA (Mignon LR6) 1,5 Volt.
Warnings:
• Warning! Not suitable for children under 3 years because of small swallowable parts. Danger of choking!
• Warning! Do not connect the parts of the Construction Box: Electric Circuits to a power socket.
• Warning! Do not operate the parts at a voltage higher than 9 V.
• Warning! When doing some of the experiments, certain parts might get hot.
Do not touch them until they have cooled down.
• Warning! Avoid direct contact of both poles of the battery without
interposing of an appliance. Otherwise this will cause a short circuit.
The electric current in the cable in the power source can mount to
such an extent, that they overheat and might cause a fire.
• Before use, always make sure that all the electric parts
are in perfect condition! Do not use any damaged parts!
• Do not use wet or moist electric parts.
• Only use batteries of the same type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Normal batteries are not rechargeable! Replace used batteries with new ones.
• Do not keep used batteries in the battery holder for a longer period of time.
• Please take care to match the right polarities.
• Do not expose to fire or high temperatures.
Operation and storage
• The Construction Box: Electric Circuits is to be used only in a dry environment and with dry hands.
• Keep the Construction Box: Electric Circuits out of reach of small children.
• Operate the components only with batteries of the type AA (Mignon LR6) at 1,5 V.
Maintenance and cleaning
• Remove the parts to be cleaned from the power source.
• Only use a damp cloth to clean the parts. Do not use any cleansing agents.
• Allow the parts to dry completely, before reusing them.
