INTRODUCTION
Application
Leviton's Telephone Input Distribution Panel (TIDP) is designed to connect telephone services
for home or small office cabling. The panel fits into Leviton's Structured Media
(SMC), featuring installer-friendly Push-Lock Pin mounting. The TIDP provides for standards
compliant patching of the wall jacks to sources in the SMC, and can be used with various
Leviton modules to provide for voice distribution. Route incoming telephone service throughout
the home or small office in up to four line applications, using the 110 IDC, Voice Line Input
Jacks, or a combination of both. Connect a security system to the module via a dedicated
Security Port, providing override protection on the primary line in case of emergency. The TIDP
also features a Test Port and Auxiliary Disconnect Outlet (ADO), allowing the user to isolate all
internal telephone wiring and test the incoming phone service from one central location.

  • Page 2 1) GETTING STARTED Planning Plan your cable routing carefully to determine the number of outlet locations required for phone, fax, and modem. Organize In the SMC, label the wires coming from your service provider, and separate them from the voice and data wires running to your wall plates. Determine placement of the Panel. You will want to pick a spot next to the panel containing the jacks where your Structured Cabling is terminated in the SMC.
  • Page 3 Using Plastic Tool Provided: 1. Push the appropriate wire into the color-designated 110 IDC slot with the tool (Figure 2). 2. Trim excess wire with diagonal cutters (Figure 3). Using professional Punch Tool: 1. Orient tool with cutting blade as shown (Figure 4). 2.
  • Page 4 Leviton warrants to the original consumer purchaser and not for the benefit of anyone else that this product at the time of its sale by Leviton is free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal and proper use for two years from the purchase date. Leviton’s only obligation is to correct such defects by repair or replacement, at its option.
