Roll Stand Assembly and Operation

Carefully read these instructions for use,
which address the warnings, precautions,
and residual risks for this medical device.
INTENDED USE
This roll stand is intended to be used with the
HemoSphere advanced monitor. See HemoSphere
advanced monitor operator' s manual for more details.
Device performance, including functional
characteristics, have been verified in a
comprehensive series of testing to support the
safety and performance of the device for its
intended use when used in accordance with the
established Instructions For Use.
Installation Note:
Separate installation kits and accessories may be
included with the roll stand. Read all separate
installation guides before assembling the roll stand
or mounting instruments or accessories.
Tools Required:
• Phillips screwdriver (not provided)
• 5/32" [4 mm] hex wrench (provided)
• 2.5 mm hex wrench (provided)
• 1/2" [13 mm] wrench (not provided)
Attaching Roll Stand Post to the Base
1. Insert the post in the base and lay assembly on
its side for access to bottom of the base (see
page 28, figure 1).

2. Using a 1/2" [13 mm] wrench, attach the post
to the base with one (1) 5/16-18 x 1" HHCS,
5/16 split lock washer, and 5/16" flat washer.
Attaching the Basket to the Post
1. Install both nylon clips at an angle, in the
center of the basket. Rotate clips until both are
horizontal (see page 28, figure 2).
2. Slide the clips to the top and bottom of basket.
The top clip should be touching the top
horizontal wire, and the bottom clip should be
touching the lower reinforcing wire (see
page 28, figure 3).
3. Slide the clips over the top of the post (see
page 28, figure 4). Position the basket at the
desired height. Tighten the clips using the
supplied #8-32 machine screws and hex nuts
(see page 28, figure 5).
Attaching Mounting Plate
Assembly
1. Insert mounting plate assembly in top of post
(see page 29, figure 6). Press downward while
twisting until the assembly snaps into place.
2. Rotate the mounting plate until the spring-
loaded plunger (indicated by
page 29) is toward the front of the roll stand.
Attaching Roll Stand Handle
Fasten handle to roll stand post with two (2)
#10-32 x 9/16" PHMS (see page 29, figure 7).
Alternately tighten handle screws until handle
does not rotate around post.
Note: Handle position shown is typical but handle
may be attached at any desired location on the post.
Periodic Maintenance and Cleaning
All fasteners associated with the mounting system
should be inspected periodically and tightened as
necessary. Roll stand may be cleaned with any

Warnings
• DO NOT use this product without first reading
and understanding the instructions contained
in this booklet. If you are unable to understand
the Warnings, Caution or Instructions, contact
a healthcare professional, dealer or technical

• All wheels must be in contact with the floor at
ALL TIMES.
• DO NOT use the roll stand while walking
backwards down gradients or climbing stairs,
curbs or to go over obstacles. Serious risk of fall
or injury may occur.
• Engage all wheel locks when roll stand is not in
motion.
• Do not place items in the utility basket
exceeding 4.5 kg (10 lbs).
• Use care when moving roll stand with a
patient. Avoid wet or slick surfaces, wires,
cables, or tubes and any uneven surfaces that
may cause roll stand to tip or fall.

• DO NOT attach roll stand to other objects.
• DO NOT use in MRI areas.
• DO NOT use the roll stand for support or as a
walking aid. Do not attempt to support your
weight or use as a stand assist.
Users and/or patients should report any serious
incidents to the manufacturer and the
Competent Authority of the Member State in
which the user and/or patient is established.
