Use necessary physical protections to avoid wounds due to the electric and
mechanical risks (cutting edges...)
Technical characteristics
The equipment's characteristics are marked on the descriptive label.
Equipment reception and handling
Check the condition of the packaging and contents at the time of delivery.
Any reservations should be reported to the shipper within 48 h.
Before being shipped, our equipment is tested under power to check current ratings and that the
fan and motor are perfectly balanced. (See inspection certificate in the motor terminal box).
The product Hotte-Plafond is delivered pre-assembled in factory. The on-site assembly by the fitter
has to follow the following steps:
Cut the power supply and check that the equipment's voltage, frequency and number of phases
match those available onsite. (light tube option)
Be careful to not scratch the filmed outside surfaces during the installation.
1. Fix the captors between themselves in the length (in the case of a multi-block Hotte-Plafond)
2. Suspend the captors to the ceiling of the kitchen by the holes of fixation situated at every
extremity. Use a lifting system. The hood will be well balanced if it is suspended on at least five
extremes points of fixation. This one has to be for a height of 1.90m minimum.
3. Take up the crossbars of stiffening between the captors. (There is one crossbar by pair of captors
+ one crossbar by connection of modules). Crossbars are perpendicular to the captors which permit
to obtain the alignment of the set.
4. Fix to the ceiling of the kitchen the crossbars by the set nuts for that purpose.
5. Take up cheeks on the captors.
6. Fix the "central hood" between themselves then to crossbars and cheeks. (The access is made
by the top in passing between the sensors and the crossbars.)
7. Take up the reflector and the lamp (in option) on the superior headband of the captors.
Only qualified technicians are to carry out electrical connexion work.
8. Slide "vault hoods" on the "central hood", then fix them to the captors with fleece-lined buttons.
9. Fix the cheeks casing to cheeks with clips below and of rivets at the top.
10. Install filters.
11. Check that the equipment's voltage, frequency and number of phases match those available
onsite.
12. Remove the protective film.

Maintenance ans servicing
Maintenance must be realized by technically qualified staff.
Turn off electric power in case of breakdown or maintenance. Use the necessary physical
protections when you are in maintenance, use gloves to avoid any cuts and fats.
Filters must be so often cleaned as necessary, at least once a week (article GC 21 RSI). The wash
of filters can be directly made in machine (not recommended for filters with galvanized steel
medium). Make sure that they are dry before going back up them.
A regular cleaning of filters will avoid their sealing by the greases, and will allow keeping the
optimal performances of the extraction system.
Clean at least, once a year (article GC 21 RSI) the whole hood and extraction tube.
For the cleaning of the hood, use sponges or soft brushes in the direction of the metal brushing.
Rinse in the water and wipe with a rag.
The employment of high pressure cleaners is possible.
To avoid quite abrasive instruments (hard brushes, plugs) and any aggressive product (bleach,
polishes).
