SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
1. Always exercise extreme caution when operating your Motor or Prophy
Handpiece.
2. Always inspect your Motor or Prophy Handpiece thoroughly before each use.
3. Always use PPE (Proper Protective Equipment) when operating and cleaning
your Sable Motor or Prophy Handpiece.
4. See your Occupational Health and Safety Act or other safety ordinances for
specific instructions.
5. This is a precision instrument. Do not drop or apply excessive force when
handling.
6. If product is dropped your dealer should be contacted, it is recommended that
you do not use.
7. Contact your dealer right away if any problem should occur with any of your
Sable products.
8. Sterilize before first time use and before every subsequent use thereafter.
9. Indication for use: Used by a trained dental practitioner in conjunction with other
attachments for the cleaning of teeth.
HOW TO USE:
1. Attachment of E-Type Motor or Prophy Handpiece. Align the pins on the Motor
or Prophy Handpiece with the holes in the Air tubing turn the collar on the tubing
clockwise until snug.
2. To remove the Motor or Prophy Handpiece, turn the collar on the tubing counter
clockwise until loose.
CYCLES:
The Motor and Prophy Handpiece can be subject to 250 cycles = (Performed
Sterilization Process) per EN ISO 5.10 before showing signs of deterioration.

CLEANING: Preparation and Cleaning before Sterilization:
Clean and lubricate the handpiece as soon as possible after treatment. Failure to
properly maintain the handpiece may cause infection, overheating leading to burn
injuries.
DO NOT IMMERSE INSTRUMENTS IN DISINFECTANT SOLUTION
OR CLEAN IN ULTRASONIC DEVICES. MANUAL CLEANING ONLY.
1. PREPARATION:
a. Always wear protective gloves, a mask, and protective goggles for safety
purposes and to minimize the risk of infection.
b. Wipe the exterior of the handpiece/accessory using a cleaning wipe.
c. Operate the handpiece at the chair-side for at least 20 seconds to purge fluids
in the handpiece (not applicable for air motors).
d. Remove the handpiece, carry the handpiece to the decontamination area and
proceed to step 2.
2. CLEANING AND DRYING:
*Wash the handpiece and irrigation nozzle under running water following the procedures below.
(Water condition:<38°C (100°F), >3.5L/min; water should be same quality as drinking water)
a. Clean the external surfaces of the handpiece/accessory with a soft bristled
toothbrush for 15 seconds or more.
b. Under appropriate lighting (natural office lighting), inspect the handpiece/
accessory for blood or other debris. If any visible debris remain, repeat the
process until it is visually clean.
c. Wipe the exterior of the handpiece/accessory clean using a cloth moistened
with disinfectant or ethanol with a concentration of 60-90% (ie. Isopropyl).
LUBRICATION:
Recommended to use Sable Branded autoclavable handpiece lubricant.
1. Remove Motor or Prophy Handpiece from airline.
2. Using spray lubrication can, oil dropper or lubrication station, apply lubricant in
the drive air tube (smaller of the two tubes at the rear of the motor).
3. Reattach Motor or Prophy Handpiece to airline if not using a lubrication station.
4. Run entire tool at normal speed for 10 seconds.
5. Wipe off excess oil from entire tool surface.
AUTOCLAVING/STERILIZATION
IMPORTANT NOTE: This handpiece or motor do not come sterilized from
the manufacturer. It is also recommended that the handpiece or motor be
sterilized after each use. Sable Branded autoclaving or sterilization packaging
is recommended to preserve item in sterile condition. Please note that after
sterilization, handpiece should be used at your earliest convenience to make
certain that sterilization is maintained.
1. Clean before sterilization (see CLEANING above)
2. Lubricate before sterilization (see LUBRICATION above).
3. For part number 1600111 set parameters for Moist Heat Sterilizer. PreVac cycle
135 degrees Celsius for 3 minutes and 16 minute dry time.
4. For part numbers 1600110, 1610110 set parameters for Moist Heat Sterilizer.
PreVac cycle 134 degrees Celsius for 8 minutes and 20 minute dry time
5. For part numbers 1600005, 1600102 set parameters for Moist Heat Sterilizer.
PreVac cycle 132 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes and 40 minute dry time.
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
Sable Slow Speed Motor or Prophy Handpiece are warranted to be free of
manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months* from date of purchase for the
standard Motor or Prophy Handpiece.
*Warranty is conditional on proper use and maintenance of the Motor or Prophy
Handpiece. Warranty is limited to repair or replacement at manufacturers'
discretion. Under no circumstances will the manufacturer be held responsible
for incremental or consequential damages. Please contact point of purchase
authorized distributor for warranty repair.
