WARNING: Prior to drilling, so as not to cut or puncture fuel tanks,
fuel lines, brake lines, electric wires, etc., check under vehicle for
locations. All floor mounting bolts near the gas tank area should
be installed from the underside of the vehicle (this would mean not
using a blind fastener).
PREPARATION
Tools Required: Electric drill with 3/16 in., 3/8 in. & 1/2 in. drill
bits; 1/2 in. deep weel ratchet wrench, 1/2 in. open or box end
wrench, carpenter's square, pencil/marker, tape measure/ruler,
safety glasses, gloves.
NOTE: If your pick-up is fitted with a plastic drop-in bed liner, it
may need to be drilled, trimmed, or cut for proper installation of
truck storage product.
SERVICE PARTS
Replacement keys are available. You will need your key code. Go
to weatherguard.simplykeys.com or weatherguard.com to order
replacement keys. The key code is stamped on to the key and
the face of the lock.If you have registered your product, you can
contact Customer Care to retrieve your key code at 800-456-7865.
If your box is locked, you will need to replace your locks. Contact
your distributor.

INSTALLING BLIND FASTENERS
Before installing blind fasteners, verify the location of wiring, air-
bags, sense wires, etc. so you don't accidentally damage something
important.
Slip a washer on the 5/16-18 x 2 1/4 in. bolt, and pass them through
the 9/16 wrench and installation tool as show at right. Place a drop
of oil on the 5/16-18 bolt before threading on the blind fastener.
Place the blind
fastener through the
hole and use the 1/2
in. wrench or socket
to tighten the bolt until
the blind fastener is
fully seated.
As the blind fastener
"bulbs-out" it will get
easier to turn until
it bottoms out and
"sets". Make sure that
the blind fastener and
installation tool do not
turn during installation.
