1.
Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove the panel in the boot near the left rearlight.
Remove the left rearlight.
2.
Drill a 13 mm hole at the left-hand side in the bottom of the boot, between the existing grommet and the left wheel.
Carefully remove all metal particles and threat the edges with an anti-corrosion paint.
Put the rubber grommet in the hole.
3.
Route the wiring harness in the boot.
Lead the 8-pole end through the grommet to the socket.
Pull the rubber coverplate over the wiring harness.
Remove the contactholder from the socket and fit the wires as indicated:

Mount the socket at the socketplate.
4.
Near the left rearlight unit connectors for the left and right rearlight an the rear window heater are located.
Disconnect the connectors for the rearlights.
(Check visually if you take the right connectors.)
Connect the connectors of the wiring harness with the yellow, red and black wire between the connectors of the left rearlight.
Connect the connectors of the wiring harness with the green and brown wire between the connectors of the right rearlight.
Fit the white wire with the supplied bolt at the left-hand side to chassis earth.
5.
Connecting the rearfoglight:
Near the left rearlight unit a 2-pole connector for the rearfoglight is located.
Disconnect this connector and fit the connectors of the wiring harness with the grey and blue wire between it.
6.
Reconnect the battery and check all electric functions, with trailer/caravan connected.
Reinstall disassembled parts.
