1.
Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove side covering in the back of the car.
Open the entrance to the rearlight units.

Drill a hole in the back of the car, just behind the socketplate of the towbar.
Remove carefully the metal particles around the hole.
Treat the surrounding of the hole with an anti-rust paint.
Put the rubber grommet in the hole.

Lead the wiringharness in the boot and lead the 8-pole end through the hole to the socket.
Put the coverplate over the wiringharness.
Remove the contactholder from the socket and fit the wires as follows:
Trailer lighting:
Left turn signal
Rearfoglight
Earth
Right turn signal
Right taillight
Brakelights
Left taillight
Rearfoglight

On both rearlight units a connector is located.
Disconnect them.
Connect the green and brown wires of the wiringharness corresponding with the connector on the right side.
Do the same with the other end on the left side.
Lead the end of the wiringharness with the colour grey and blue via the left hinge from the boot to the left light unit in the boot.
Release the connector from this unit and connect the 3 pole connector of the wiringharness corespondingly.
Fit the white wire to chassis earth.
5.
Mount the socket on the towbar.
Reconnect the battery and check all electric functions, with trailer/caravan connected.
Reinstall disassembled parts.
