1.
Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove the covering in the boot.
Clear the entrance to both rear light units.
2.
Use the existing hole, which is located at the right side in the boot.
Put the rubber grommet in the hole.
3.
The wiring harness is put in the boot.
Lead the 8-pole end through the grommet to the socket.
(Careful. Hot exhaust!!)
Pull the rubber coverplate over the wiring harness.
Remove the contact holder from the socket and fit the wires as follows:
Trailer lighting:
Left turn signal
Rearfoglight
Earth
Right turn signal
Right taillight
Brakelights
Left taillight
Rearfoglight
Mount the socket to the towbar.
4.
At both rear light units 7-pole connectors are located.
Remove the connector from the right rearlight.
Connect the wiring harnesses connectors with the green, brown and red wire correspondingly.
Remove the connector from the left rearlight.
Connect the wiring harnesses connectors with the black, blue, yellow and grey wire correspondingly.
Fit the white wire to chassis earth.
5.
Reconnect the battery and check all electric functions, with trailer/caravan connected.
Reinstall disassembled parts.
