IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE
CAUTION

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Before using the electrical appliance, the following basic
precautions should always be followed including the following:
• READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
• DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use handles and knobs.
• To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do
not immerse cord, plug, or base unit in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used
near children. DO NOT allow children to operate this appliance.
DO NOT leave the coffee maker on for long periods of time.
• Unplug from outlet when either the appliance or display clock is
not in use, and before cleaning. Allow coffee maker and carafe
to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning
the appliance.
• DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug.
DO NOT operate any appliance that has been damaged or
malfunctioned. Return appliance to an authorized service facility
for examination or repair.
• The use of attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to
persons.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Place appliance on flat surface or table, do not let cord hang
over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.
• DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• Always power OFF when you are done using your appliance.
Press the Brew/Cancel button to turn OFF.
• The carafe is designed for use with this appliance. It must never
be used on a range top.
• DO NOT clean carafe with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other
abrasive material.
• DO NOT leave empty carafe on the warming plate. This can
result in damage to your carafe.

Notes on the cord plug:
This appliance has a polarized plug, To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one
way, If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug, If
it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician, Do not attempt to
modify the plug in any way.
Notes on the cord:
a) A short power-supply cord (or detached power-supply cord) is to
be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or
tripping over a long cord.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
• Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks
or carafe having a loose or weakened handle. Only use the
carafe with this appliance.
• Do not set a hot carafe on a wet or cold surface.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
• FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.

The heating element surface is subject to

• Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing
cycles.
• To disconnect, turn the appliance off, then remove the plug
from the outlet.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, service provider, qualified person.
• Keep out of reach of children. This appliance is not intended for
use by children.
Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of your coffee
maker unless it is specifically recommended in this manual.
All other servicing should be performed by authorized
service personnel.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are
available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cords or extension cord is
used,
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord
or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating
of the appliance.
2) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over
the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over.
