knobs with the rings "I".
PHOTO 64. First cut out the bases, no. 79, and glue them to the strakes, leaving them at the same level. Then glue the fenders,
nos. 80 and 81, to them (take the approximate distances between them from plan 1).
PHOTO 65. Cut out and shape the samson posts, no. 82, and glue them to the front of the bulwarks. Glue the parts, nos. 83, 84
and 85 to the stem and then, to these, glue the rails, nos. 86, 87 and 88. The frames, nos. 89 and 90, must be glued in place on
the hull and the davit. Use quick setting glue.
PHOTO 66. Glue two doors, no. 91, to the front of the first frame and add the eyebolts and rings for the door knobs. Line the
heads at the top and trim off any excess.
PHOTO 67 & 68. If necessary retouch the gaps in the bulwarks and the gun ports, so that all of the frames, nos. 93 and 94, can
be fitted. The frames must be glued using quick setting glue. If necessary retouch the strakes so that frames, no. 94, enter. The
ports, no. 95, are shored up using quick setting glue so that they remain open.
PHOTOS 69 & 70. Make up the rudder blade using the parts shown in the photos. Adjust the size of the hinges, using cutting
pliers. The shafts are made up of brass, with a diameter of 1.5 mm.Make a hole, with a big enough diameter, next to the stern
post, so that the tiller will enter. Attach the rudder blade to the hull using the hinges and pins.
PHOTO 71. Make up the gratings, ensuring that all of the parts are well inserted and then glue them in place using quick drying
glue. From these complete parts take bits to make up the different gratings on the decks. Check the plans for the sizes to be cut.
PHOTO 72. Cut the sections of grating, no. 99, to size and attach them to the strips, nos. 100, 101 and 102. Use quick drying
glue.
PHOTO 73. Make up another set using grating no. 99 and the strips nos. 103 and 104.
PHOTO 74. Glue the assembled gratings onto the deck, along with the foremast partner, no. 105. The figurehead, no. 106, is
then glued into place on the stem.
PHOTO 75. Assemble the other set of grating, no. 99, and the strips, nos. 107 and 108.
PHOTO 76. The stairs are assembled using the uprights, nos. 110 and 111. The steps are cut to the indicated sizes from the
strips, no. 109. Once assembled they are cut to the indicated size for each hatch (see plan 2). Use quick setting glue.
PHOTO 77. Frame the hatch as follows using strips nos. 112 and 113. Glue the columns, no. 114, in place and onto them the
strips, nos. 115 and 116. Then glue the four finials, no. 117, into place. Fit one of the stairs using quick setting glue.
PHOTO 78. Glue the partner, no. 118, into place. Using strips nos. 119 and 120, frame the waist deck hatch, which will contain
the ammunition, no. 117. Fit the necessary four step stairs.
PHOTO 79. Make up the assembly shown in the photo using the parts, nos. 99, 121, 122 and 123. In the next step this
assembly is fitted to the deck.
PHOTO 80. Decorate the entry to the hatches on the main deck, following the same steps as in photo 77, along with the
corresponding stairs. Fit the Grating, assembled in the last step, in place. Make up and glue two equal gratings, using parts nos.
99, 124 and 125. Glue the stairs, giving access to this deck, in place.
PHOTOS 81 & 82. Cut the seven beams of the main hatch, no. 126, and add to the supports, no. 127. Rebate the interior of the
supports, in the form of an arch, and glue them in place in the opening of the hatch (also see plan 2).
PHOTO 83. Glue the necessary columns to the quarter deck, and then glue the rails, nos. 128 and 129, to them.
PHOTO 84. Make up the openings at the back of the gun ports in order to pin the guns, nos. 130, 131 and 132, into place.
Using 1.5 mm. brass wire, make up the quarter deck rail, no. 34, newel posts, no. 133. Holes, of the same diameter as those in
the newel posts, must then be made in the limber boards, so that they can be inserted.
PHOTO 85. Fit the necessary columns, no. 114, in place and fasten the mainmast rail, no. 135.
PHOTO 86. Make up the five samson post pin rack assemblies, nos. 136 and 137. These assemblies will be fitted in place later.

PHOTO 90. The channels, nos. 145, 146 and 147, are made up from a strip. The brackets, no. 148, will give the correct slope,
in relation to the hull. See plan 2 for the position of the 1 mm. diameter holes that must be made.
PHOTO 91. The bell, no. 150, is hung in the bell tower, no. 149, using an eyebolt.
PHOTO 92. Glue the channels, no. 145, to the sides of the hull, and the brackets, no. 148 (see plan 2). Glue the bell tower, no.
