By serial number we mean the 8 digits in bold, as shown in the example below:

(2) In register 17 the value of the boiler contact status has the following meaning:
Write:
Value 0 = boiler contact open (boiler OFF)
Value 1 = boiler contact closed (boiler ON)
Value 2 = automatic management
Read:
Value 0 = boiler contact open (boiler OFF)
Value 1 = boiler contact closed (boiler ON)
Value 2 = unknown (boiler contact not assigned).
