Section 1: Shade Installation
1. Screw two brackets to mounting surface using the
screws provided (fig. 1). Brackets may be
installed for (a) ceiling mount or (b) wall mount
applications. Ensure both brackets are level and
parallel to each other.
2. Brackets must be installed no more than 2" from
each end of the cassette (fig. 2). A third bracket
will be provided for shades wider than 72" and
can be installed halfway between the two outer
brackets.
3. Hook the cassette under the front of the mounting
brackets and CLICK the rear of the cassette into
place (fig. 3).
4. Install child safety chain tensioner to window
frame or wall (fig 4) such that it does not interfere
with the travel of the window shade. Once
installed, chain should be taught but not under
stress as it passes through the tension device.
Section 2: Shade Removal
Determine the type of shade before removing.
i) For manually operated shades, unscrew the chain
safety tensioner before removing shade.
ii) For 120V AC motorized shades consult Section 3
and with a qualified licenced electrician prior to
removing shade.
iii) For 24V DC or battery motorized shades,
disconnect wires before removing shade.
Insert a flat screwdriver at the back of the cassette
between the spring clip and cassette (fig. 5).
Disengage the cassette from the brackets and press
back on the cassette to release.
Section 3: 120V AC Motor Connections:
A) Non-terminated wire must be connected into an
electrical junction box by a qualified licenced
electrician (fig. 6) and must comply with local
electrical codes.
B) Non-terminated wire with Wago quick connector
must be connected by a qualified licenced
electrician into the wago quick connectors (fig. 7)
C) Terminated wire with molded NEMA plug (fig. 8).
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK,
THIS PRODUCT HAS A GROUNDING TYPE PLUG
THAT HAS A THIRD GROUNDING PIN. THIS PLUG
WILL ONLY FIT INTO A GROUNDING TYPE
OUTLET. IF THE PLUG DOES NOT FIT INTO THE
OUTLET, CONTACT A QUALIFIED LICENCED
ELECTRICIAN TO INSTALL THE PROPER OUTLET.
DO NOT CHANGE OR MODIFY THE PLUG IN ANY
WAY.
