Installing Superstructure
To remove the superstructure you have to disconnect the derrick rigging at the superstructure, and fold the other
derricks to one side. Disconnect everything from the forward derricks, leaving only the derricks themselves
attached to the superstructure. Place a support at least 18 cm high next to the hull (a transmitter case is ideal), cau-
tiously raise the superstructure, and lay it on the support. IMPORTANT: ensure that the rigging does not get tangled
or caught on the derricks. Don't pull too hard on the rigging or you could damage them the lines. Now carefully
raise the superstructure, holding it as shown in the photograph, and lift it away from the model. The loading hatches
on the ship's centreline can also be removed, although these are primarily required only for checking the position
of the batteries and maintaining the power system. The long loading hatch at the stern is also removable, but only
after dismantling the derricks located above it. However, this hatch is not generally required for assembling and
operating the model. The rear superstructure (supporting the small crane) provides access to the rudder servo, and
this can also be lifted off. The hatch above the rudder shaft can be removed after withdrawing the two winches; this
gives access to the rudder system for maintenance.

Maiden voyage
Charge the batteries and test the functions of the model. Secure all coverage so that they can not fall, so that no water can
penetrate into the model. Now you can maiden voyage.
Slow start during its maiden voyage, you do get familiar with the handling characteristics of the model. Test the steering,
braking distance, and range.
If the model begins „bounce" to change the position of the drive until the model runs clean again, or move the batteries
forward.
