• The Klaran WS must be filled with water during LED ON
operation. The WS System should not be operated for
a period greater than 2 minutes if water supply is not
flowing through the reactor. Operating the Klaran WS
dry or for extended periods without water flow may
cause permanent damage.
• If operating Klaran WS for extended periods of no water
flow, the water in your chamber can become hot and
potentially lead to scalding. It is recommended to run
water until hot water has been purged from the system.
Do not allow water to contact your body during this time.
• Do not pass water through the UV system for a minimum
of 5 seconds after connecting input power (including
after power interruptions) to avoid passing under-
treated water that may, in rare instances, pose health
hazards.
• Do not operate the Klaran WS at flow rates below 0.5
Liters Per Minute, doing so may cause the unit to operate
improperly.
• This appliance contains a UV-C emitter.
• WARNING: Do not operate the UV-C emitter when it is
removed from the appliance enclosure.
• Unintended use of the appliance or damage to the
housing may result in the escape of dangerous UV-C
radiation. UV-C radiation may, even in little doses, cause
harm to the eyes and skin.
• Appliances that are obviously damaged must not be
operated.
• Non-replaceable UV-C emitter present in the appliance.
• Changes or modifications made to this system without
the consent of the manufacturer could render the system
unsafe for operation and may void the manufacturer's
warranty.
• The system should not be disassembled for cleaning or
maintenance.
• Models with AC/DC power supplies are to be supplied
through a residual current device (RCD) having a rated
residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
• This system is intended to be permanently connected to
water lines and operating power in a manner satisfying
local and regional plumbing and electrical codes.
• This system is not intended to be submerged or
used outdoors.
