Introduction
The SonoRead 868 is a radio receiver for wireless
M-Bus resource meters. It is equipped with a Blue-
tooth interface and it is intended to be used togeth-
er with a portable computer for mobile consumption
meter reading.
This device may only be operated by
trained personnel!
This device is not a toy and it must be
kept away from children!
Do not charge the battery of the
device at temperatures below 0 °C or at
temperatures above 45 °C!
Charging the battery
Before using the device for the first time, please
charge it completely with the accompanying battery
charger. As soon as the red battery-charging indica-
tor is switched off, you may disconnect the battery
charger. Due to the low self-discharge rate of the
lithium ion battery it is not necessary to keep the de-
vice permanently connected to the battery charger.
Switching ON / OFF
For switching on the device, please press the on
button. The device is ready to receive radiometers
and able to establish a Bluetooth connection after
approximately 5 seconds.
For switching off the device, manually, press and
hold the on button for at least 5 seconds.
The device is switching itself off after 10 minutes
without a Bluetooth connection.
