Discovering your WM202: Rear view

CAUTION
Before making any connections make sure that your WM202 is switched off. If you are in doubt, unplug the
mains cable.
When making connections always be sure all components are off.
Neatly arrange and organize wiring from your WM202 to other components. Always separate AC cables from
audio cables to prevent hum or other unwanted noise being introduced into the system.
POWER INLET
Connect the supplied mains cable. Be sure that your CD Player is off before plugging or

unplugging the cable.

RCA AUDIO OUTPUT Connect your amplifier or other suitable device such as powered speakers,
receiver etc. to the RCA outputs of your WM202. Be sure to connect the R output (red) of the WM202 to
the right input of your amplifier and the L output to the LEFT input of your amplifier.
COAXIAL DIGITAL OUTPUT The digital optical output allows you to connect an external DAC or digital

recorder.
DIGITAL OPTICAL INPUT (TOSLINK)

player/computer etc.) with a high quality TOSLINK fibre optic interconnect cable designed specifically
for audio use.
USB INPUT (Type B) The USB input allows a direct connection to a PC/MAC. The USB input allows you to

benefit from the quality of the WM202 internal DAC. The WM202 operation is fully independent of your
computer soundcard and will operate whether your computer has a soundcard or not.

IR IN / IR OUT You can connect an IR Receiver if your WM202 is in a cupboard or enclosed rack where the
IR sensor is not visible. Using the IR IN / IR OUT option provides control from another room when used in
a custom installation.
