5. Test wheel reliability by striking it with a key, with a
screwdriver acting as the spindle.
Important: wheels that are damaged during the test
must necessarily be replaced.
6. Put the wheels back as shown in Fig.8, not forgetting
the two flanges and two pads.
7. Fasten the eye shields as shown in Fig.9.
8. Adjust the two supports so that the distance between
their edge and the grinding wheel is 2 mm, as shown in
Fig.9.
9. Turn the wheel with your hand and check that it does
not make any strange noises before connecting the ma
chine.
10. If the machine vibrates significantly when it is started
up, stop it immediately, take off the grinding wheels and
check them (5). Change the wheels if required (2-6).
