Assembly/Disassembly - Herdegen Success Mode D'emploi

*Please make sure before connecting the Lift Chair that the electrical installation complies with the standard NF (Norme Française) C 15 100; if your
installation doesn't comply with this standard, SNC HERDEGEN would decide to accept or refuse any complains regarding the electical components
of this Lift Chair.
*In case of troubles or doubt, please ask the operator or SNC HERDEGEN.
*In case of doubt, if the Lift Chair appears to be damaged or if you suspect a malfunction, immediately unplug it from wall outlet and mark it as
„DEFECTIVE".
*Unplug the power cable from wall outlet, before moving the Lift Chair around.
*Check the power cable regularly for damages (crushed, bare, sheared, porous..) and particularly :
1/after every mechanical strains(for example: rolling over the cables).
2/after having moved the Lift Chair and before pluging in the power cable.
3/every month in a normal use.
*Regularly check the cable strain relief, it must be in perfect condition.
*Place the remote control in the side pocket to avoid it from falling down. Make sure that the wire is correctly positionned to avoid squeezing or
crushing the cables.
*Don't let children play with the remote control and the lift chair.
*Periodically check the hand control and all power cords for visible damage.
*Keep the hand control away from all heated surfaces.
*Ensure the hand control is out of the way before sitting in the chair.
*ALWAYS observe the weight limit on the labelling of your device.
*Do not lean out of the Lift Chair to avoid falling out of the device.
*Use only as a Lift Chair and in proper way.
*No modification must be made on this device. Use only original parts to replace the broken or defect one and let this be done by the technical staff.
*After assembling the product, make sure that the backrest is securely locked and fixed before using.
*In case you didn't use your lift chair for a long time, let it checked by the technical staff, before using.
*Always check stability before using and use only on a flatt ground.
*We strongly recommend that you do not smoke while using the lift chair, even if the lift chair has passed the required tests for cigarette smoking,
the risks of fire remain. You must respect the following rules if you anyway decide to smoke:
-Do not leave lit cigarettes unattended.
-Keep ashtrays at a safe distance from the lift chair.
-Always make sure that cigarettes or cigares are completely extinguished before disposal.
*Place the chair away from any source of heat (electric radiator, fireplace, oil stove..)

2. ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY

Only specialists can adjust the product and teach you how to use it. A wrong use or adjustment could lead to overstress of the device or of the
patient. Ask the technical staff how to use this product and make sure that you understood clearly their explanation. In case of doubt, don't hesitate
to ask again.
2.1. Assembly
- Remove the packaging.
- Mounting the backrest: see illustration [A] and follow steps 1-2-3. Some models may have two possibilities to install the backrest depending on
the chosen model.
1- Place the hand control and cable over the chair base.
2- Check that the locking clip on the back of the chair is in the vertical position as shown on illustration below (1).
3- Insert the female elements which are located on both sides of the backrest into the supports located on both sides of the lift chair's frame.
4- Push firmly on the top of the back to lock into position and make sure that the metal push buttons are fully engaged through the holder's holes
by hearing a "click".
5- Ensure the hand control cable is routed through the rear of the lift chair
6- Check that all cables and wires are correctly connected, ensure that cables and wires of the remote control and central control box can't be
damaged in other ways.
7- Make sure that you have enough room and no obstructions before using the chair. Place the back of the lift chair 80 cm (distance depends on
the chosen model) from the nearest obstruction while the chair is in the seated position.
8- Plug the chair to the main power supply complying with the standard NF C 15 100.
2.2. Dissasembly
To disassemble the chair, see illustration [B] and follow steps 1-2-3, unplug the chair from power supply, remove the remote control and dismount
the backrest from the frame.
3. OPERATING THE CHAIR
Please read again the safety instructions before operating the chair. The non respect of instructions could lead to severe damages and injuries.
One motor chair:
In a one motor chair, the backrest and legsupport move together: as the user reclines, the legsupport will automatically stands up. When the
backrest will be flat, the legrest will be horizontal.
