ATTENTION
Please keep in mind that the consumption of alcohol
always impairs your responsiveness and judgement!
Even if the device does not detect any alcohol or only
a low level after alcohol consumption, you may not,
drive a vehicle, operate a machine or perform an ac-
tion, which, when performed under the infl uence of
alcohol, could endanger yourself or other persons!
Please keep in mind that improper handling or mani-
pulation of the device may cause it to display lower
alcohol levels. No guarantee is offered for any of the
measurements taken with this device!
Please keep in mind that alcohol affects different per-
sons differently. Depending on height, body weight,
age and health, the effects of the same blood alcohol
level may vary from person to person.
After the measurement, the device will display the
calculated BAC in grams per litre and per cent.
BAC stands for "blood alcohol content" as calcu-
lated by the device. Example: "0.3 g/l (or 0.03 %
BAC)" corresponds to an alcohol content of 0.3 g
per litre of blood. NOTICE: The actual BAC may
differ from the value shown!
1. Use a dry cloth to wipe the sensor to remove any con-
tamination that could affect the test result.
2. Push the Power button until you hear a signal tone.
The display will switch on.

is complete. A signal will
sound once the countdown is
complete.

"Blow" icon will appear on
the display. A new countdown
from 10 to 0 will appear. The
alcohol concentration in your
breath can be measured dur-
ing this countdown.
5. During the "Blow" countdown,
hold the sensor up to your
mouth and blow forcefully into
the sensor for approx. 3 – 5
seconds.
6. The "Caution" icon will appear
if blood alcohol levels of 0.02
% BAC (or 0.2 g/l) to 0.05 %
BAC (or 0.5 g/l) are detected.

Tips / notes:
At least 20 minutes should have passed since you last
consumed alcohol and before the current measure-
ment. Do not eat, smoke or drink during this time.
Closed, poorly ventilated rooms as well as air-condi-
tioned rooms may affect the accuracy of the reading.
If necessary, measure your BAC 2 – 3 times.
Saliva and alcohol on the sensor may affect the ac-
curacy of the measurements. Use a dry cloth to clean
the sensor/device every time after use.
If you have not used the device for a prolonged pe-
riod of time (or before fi rst use), you must perform 2
– 3 test measurements before you perform the actual
measurement.
Wait approximately 2 – 3 minutes between two meas-
urements.
Low batteries may affect the accuracy of measure-
ments. Change the batteries when you notice that the
battery power is diminishing.
