1. DESCRIPTION
This RF repeater is part of the Easywave RF system (Radio Frequency), an installation technique that does not
require any wiring between the control points (push buttons) and the devices to be operated. The RF repeater
can be used for installations that have an insufficient transmission range.
2. OPERATION AND USE
2.1. Range between Easywave transmitters and receivers
The range indoors depends upon the materials used in the building. In open fields, ranges of up to 100 m can
be reached. You can use the diagnostic unit 05-370 to determine the RF signal strength in a given environment.

2.2. Installation instructions and recommendations
NEVER install the receivers and/or transmitters:
- in a metal distribution box, housing or netting
- in the immediate vicinity of large metal objects
- on or near the floor
You can provide the receivers for DIN-rail mounting with an additional antenna. Install the receivers in the
immediate vicinity of the transmitters. The presence of metal or moisture in the walls can negatively affect the
transmission range.
2.3. Operaton and use
Use the RF repeater in places where the range is insufficient. 32 transmission codes can be programmed into
the repeater. Up to 10 consecutive telegrams can be received, and then forwarded in the same sequence.
The RF repeater has 2 operating modes:
2.3.1 BROADCAST MODE (default)
If no Easywave transmission code has been programmed into the repeater, each received Easywave telegram
is repeated with a delay of 270 ms. When a telegram is received, the LED will flash briefly. When a telegram is
sent, the LED will be illuminated for the duration of the transmission process.
Once a transmission code has been programmed into the repeater (see §3.1), the broadcast mode will no longer
be available. In order to re-enable this mode, each transmission code must be manually deleted (see §3.2) or
a RESET must be performed (see §3.3). Telegrams from other repeaters (broadcast or cascade mode) will NOT
be forwarded in broadcast mode.
2.3.2 CASCADE MODE
If several repeaters are required to build a transmission path, they must operate on multiple levels in cascade
mode, to prevent a "build-up" in the system. That is why the transmission codes of the required Easywave
transmitters must be programmed into the repeaters on different levels.
Level structure: transmission codes emitted by repeaters are only accepted by repeaters that are in the next
level up. This prevents transmission codes being constantly sent back and forth between repeaters and the
transmission path being blocked.
The repeater furthest away from the receiver needs to be programmed in level 1. As this repeater's repeated
telegrams will only be accepted by repeaters programmed as level 2, repeaters positioned in 'the middle' must
always be programmed as level 2. The third repeater must be placed within the reception range of the receiver
and should be programmed as level 3. This repeater only accepts telegrams from repeaters in level 2.
Repeater in broadcast mode: telegrams from repeaters in broadcast mode are accepted by repeaters in cascade
mode at level 1 (as would be expected from a conventional Easywave transmitter). Therefore, one (1!) repeater
can alternatively be used as "level 0" if the 3 regular levels are insufficient in cascade mode. Repeaters in which
the relevant telegram is programmed at level 2 or 3 will reject all telegrams from a repeater in broadcast mode.
Transmitter behaviour: "normal" transmitters' transmission codes are accepted by repeaters in each level and
are forwarded based on the programmed level. This ensures that receivers can be switched from any position
as required, using programmed transmitters.
Receiver behaviour: repeater telegrams, regardless of which level they are programmed into, will unconditionally
be accepted by Easywave receivers. This means that it is not always necessary to use all three available repeater
levels. You only need to make sure that one repeater at the highest level is within range of the receiver.
2.4. Control point
An RF control point can exist of 1, 2, 3 or 4 buttons of one and the same transmitter that are interconnected
and to which, depending on the type of receiver and the selected mode, commands can be connected. RF wall
mounted transmitters with 8 buttons are considered 2 control points with 4 buttons in 1 cover. The RF hand-held
transmitters with more than 4 buttons or with channel selection are considered groups of different, independent
control points as indicated in the table below or in the transmitter's user manual.

3. PROGRAMMING
3.1 Start-up
1. Install the repeater in a flush-mounting box
2. Disconnect the power circuit
3. Connect the RF repeater's power supply.
4. Switch on the power circuit again.

3.2 Programming a transmission code
If transmitters with 2- or 3-button operation are used, generally only the code for one button needs be transmitted.
The code for the associated buttons is assigned automatically.
Programming a transmitter in level 1
1. Press the programming button once briefly (< 1.6 seconds).
The LED blinks on and off.
2. Press a button on the transmitter.
3. The transmitter has successfully been programmed. The LED goes out.
Programming a transmitter in level 2
1. Press the programming button twice briefly (< 1.6 seconds).
The LED flashes in a 2-blink pattern.
2. Press a button on the transmitter.
3. The transmitter has been successfully programmed. The LED goes out.
Programming a transmitter in level 3
1. Press the programming button three times briefly (< 1.6 seconds).
The LED flashes in a 3-blink pattern.
2. Press a button on the transmitter.
3. The transmitter has been successfully programmed. The LED goes out.
If the transmission code has been saved, the LED lights up for around 2 seconds and the repeater switches
to ready mode. One transmitter can only be programmed in one level. If a programmed transmission code is
programmed at another level, the transmitter will be assigned to the new level.
3.3 Deleting specific transmission codes
1. Press and hold the programming button (>1.6 seconds) until the LED flashes quickly.
2. Press a button on the transmitter. If the transmission code has been deleted, the LED will light up for around
2 seconds and the repeater will switch to ready mode.
3.4 Deleting all transmission codes (Reset)
1. Press and hold the programming button (>1.6 seconds) until the LED flashes quickly.
2. Press and hold the programming button (>1.6 seconds) again until the LED has been illuminated for 4 seconds.
This will delete all transmission codes programmed in the levels. The repeater switches to ready mode. The
broadcast mode is active again.
Note: All programming and deletion processes can be cancelled by briefly pressing the programming button or
by waiting for around 30 seconds until the receiver switches to ready mode.
