The top case must always remain closed while riding. A top case that is damaged in any way may no
longer be used. Always make sure that all accessory parts and luggage are carefully fastened. Check
this regularly.
Warning
Danger of accidents Loading luggage can significantly affect the handling characteristics.

When the top case is fitted, the handling characteristics, as well as the cornering and braking cha-
racteristics, may change due to greater crosswind sensitivity, especially with a full load. Take care in
strong winds. Due to the changed handling characteristics, approach the permitted maximum speed
of 120 km/h slowly.
Tip
To clean the top case, use warm soapy water (water with neutral soap) and a soft, clean cloth. Rinse with
clean water. Do not use harsh cleaning agents or rough cleaning utensils.

When using a pressure cleaner, maintain a distance of at least a meter from the top case.

Locking cylinder

Key in vertical position
The top case is closed and locked.

Turn the key 90° clockwise
The handle pops up automatically.
The top case can be opened and closed.

Turn the key 45° clockwise
The top case can be opened and closed.
The top case is released and can be mounted or remo-
ved.
Opening the top case
–
Move the key 90° to the right
–
Press the push button all the way in until the handle pops
up automatically.

Pull the lock and open the cover.
