Potential faults

Potential faults are listed below, along with their causes and how to rectify them.
Fault
Remote control (2)
does not respond.
The Quadrocopter
(1) does not
respond.
The Quadrocopter
(1) cannot be
controlled.
The Quadrocopter
(1) will not fly
upwards.
The rotor protection
(1c) is not securely
fixed.

Remote control (2) is
switched off.
Batteries (5) incorrectly
inserted.
Batteries (5) are dead.
The batteries (5) in the
remote control (2) were
incorrectly inserted or
are dead.
The rechargeable battery
(7) in the Quadrocopter
(1) is flat.
The control lights (1g)
are not flashing or lit up.
The Quadrocopter (1) is
out of range.
Too strong a wind or
draught.
The Quadrocopter (1)
needs to be calibrated.
Not enough throttle.
The rechargeable battery
(7) is flat.
Collision/crash.
Remedy
Turn on remote control (2).
Insert the batteries (5) correctly.
Replace the batteries (5).
Check the batteries (5) and replace if necessary.
Charge the battery (7).
Connect the battery connector (7a) to the
Quadrocopter.
Make sure that the distance between the remote
control (2) and the Quadrocopter (1) is not more
than 50m.
The Quadrocopter (1) is only suitable for calm
conditions with no wind or up to force 3 winds.
Place the Quadrocopter (1) on a horizontal, level
surface. Simultaneously slide the throttle lever (2h)
to the back and left, and the control lever (2l) to the
right and back on the powered-on remote control
(2).
The control lights (1g) on the Quadrocopter (1)
will flash for approx. 3 seconds. Once the control
lights (1g) light up continuously, the calibration is
complete and the Quadrocopter (1) is ready to fly.
NOTE: Repeat the calibration if the Quadro-
copter (1) still flies erratically in one direction.
Slowly slide the throttle lever (2h) all the way
forward.
Charge the battery (7).
If a rotor guard (1c) becomes loose, tighten the
screws again and double-check the correct place-
ment of the rotor guards (1c).
