4. ZIPPER SF Tech drysuit are equipped with a metal YKK Proseal® Zipper. The waterproof zipper provides a watertight closure for the drysuit. It is a fragile yet essential part of the suit and should be treated with the utmost care. The larger teeth visible on the outside of the zipper are actually just clamps that secure the smaller teeth, visible in the inside surface of the zipper, in place. -

5. LATEX WRIST AND NECK SEALS All SF Tech Drysuits come standard with latex wrist and neck seals for watertight integrity. USAGE Always use caution when pulling on the wrist and neck seal. Do not use excessive force and avoid contact with sharp objects, like rings and fingernails, as it might damage the seals. To facilitate donning and doffing, dust the inside of the seals with unperfumed talcum powder. Do not put too much talc as the excess will go in the drysuit and might block the dump valve over time. TRIMMING THE SEALS To provide a comfortable yet watertight seal, it might be necessary to trim the latex seals. The latex seals are tapered and have multiple trim lines over the end. Carefully cut off one section at a time with a sharp scissors to achieve a snug fit. Always use sharp scissors and cut the seal as smooth as possible. Do not cut across the trim lines and avoid any sharp edges. Perfect Acceptable To Avoid... -

6. FITTING AND USAGE PRE-DIVE ‹ Before each dive, make sure the suit is in good working condition. ‹ Check the overall condition of the suit, looking for tear, hitch or hole. ‹ Inspect the seams, making sure none of the threads are broken. ‹... - Page 10 Starting with the left arm first, grab the wrist of the undergarment and slip the arm into the sleeve. ‹ Let go the undergarment when reaching the wrist seal. Gently push your hand through the wrist seal. Make sure the undergarments are not caught between the seal and the wrist or it will leak. Pull the shoulder of the suit all the way to the neck.

‹ Attach a low pressure hose to the inflation valve and make sure the valve is working properly. ‹ To check the exhaust valve, turn it open, crouch to your knees and check if the air escapes from the valve. ‹ Put on the hood over your head. The neck of the hood can be tucked under the neoprene collar of the suit for a better insulation. DOFFING ‹ Take off the drysuit following the same procedure as donning, but in reverse order. Make sure the waterproof zipper is COMPLETELY OPEN before removing the suit. ‹... -

After each dive, complete the pre-dive checks and thoroughly inspect the suit for any new possible damage that may have appeared during the dive. If any repair has to be made, contact the manufacturer, or take the suit to an Authorized SF Tech dealer. CLEANING After each dive, thoroughly rinse the outside of the suit, the seals and the valves with clean fresh water. All SF Tech drysuit come standard with a hood, a bag and a 90cm low pressure inflator hose. In addition, the suit can be equipped with various options as shown in the drysuit specifications. POCKETS The SF Tech Pocket is the perfect accessorie to store your diving equipment while diving. Spare mask, surface marker, spool and various other items. 4. FERMETURE ÉCLAIR ÉTANCHE Les combinaisons étanches SF Tech sont équipés de fermeture étanche YKK Proseal® en métal. La fermeture éclair est une partie fragile mais indispensable de la combinaison étanche et doit être traitée avec le plus grand soin. Les dents visibles à l'extérieur de la fermeture servent à guider le curseur et la fixation se fait par les petites dents visibles sur la face interne de la fermeture. Ces petites dents se verrouillent entre elles et créent une pression ferme et régulière sur la bande en polymère, assurant ainsi l'étanchéité. Les dents externes doivent êtres lubrifiées et l'ensemble de la fermeture doit être maintenu propre et exempt de saleté. Un bon entretien de la fermeture garantira une bonne étanchéité... -

5. MANCHONS ET COLLERETTE EN LATEX Toutes les combinaisons étanches SF Tech sont livrées de base avec des manchons de poignet et une collerette en latex. UTILISATION Soyez toujours prudent lorsque vous tirez sur les manchons et la collerette. Ne pas utiliser une force excessive et éviter tout contact avec des objets pointus, comme les bagues et les ongles, car cela... -

6. UTILISATION PRÉ-PLONGÉE ‹ Avant chaque plongée, vérifez que la combinaison étanche soit en bon état de fonctionnement. ‹ Vérifiez l'état général de la combinaison, à la recherche de déchirures, d'accros ou de trous. ‹ Inspectez les coutures et vérifiez qu'aucun fil ne soit abimé ou rompus. ‹ Contrôlez les manchons et collerette. Si le latex est fissuré, collant ou usé, le remplacer avant la plongée. ‹ Vérifiez le serrage et le fonctionnement de la purge, de l'inflateur et de la purge urinaire. Suivre les recommandations du fabricant. ‹ Inspectez et nettoyer la fermeture éclair. Appliquez de la paraffine sur les dents extérieures. ‹ Si nécessaire, saupoudrer les manchons et la collerette avec du talc non parfumé. ENFILEZ LA COMBINAISON ‹... - Page 22 ‹ Une fois la combinaison correctement positionnée sur la partie basse du corps, tirez la partie supérieure jusqu'au niveau de la poitrine. ‹ Commencez par enfiler le bras gauche dans la manche correspondante. Tenir la manche au niveau du poignet afin d'éviter que celle-ci ne remonte au niveau du coude. Poussez doucement la main à travers le manchon et tirez l'épaule de la combinaison en place. Enlevez tout matériel entre le poignet et le manchon afin de garantir l'étanchéité.

‹ Si la combinaison étanche a une sur-fermeture, fermez-la de la même manière. ‹ Connectez un tuyau à l'inflateur et assurez-vous que ce dernier fonctionne correctement. ‹ Pour vérifier la purge, ouvrez-la en tourner là dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre, accroupissez-vous et vérifiez que l'air sorte par la purge. ‹ Enfilez la cagoule. Cette dernière peut être enfilée en dessous du sur-col en néoprène pour une meilleure isolation. ENLEVER LA COMBINAISON ‹ Enlever la combinaison en suivant la même procédure que pour l'enfiler, mais dans l'ordre inverse. ‹ Assurez-vous que la fermeture soit COMPLÈTEMENT OUVERTE avant d'enlever la combinaison. Page 24: Utilisation Durant La Plongée
Après chaque plongée, refaire les vérifications pré-plongées et inspecter minutieusement la combinaison pour tout nouveau dommage éventuel qui aurait pu apparaître au cours de la plongée. Si une réparation doit être effectuée, contactez le fabricant ou prendre contact avec un revendeur SF Tech agrée. NETTOYAGE Après chaque plongée, rincer abondamment l'extérieur de la combinaison étanche, les manchons et collerettes, la purge et l'inflateur avec de l'eau douce propre. Rincer soigneusement les deux côtés de la fermeture étanche et brosser tout objet étranger. -

En plus des contrôles pré et post-plongée, la combinaison étanche, la purge et l'inflateur doivent être inspectés annuellement par le fabricant ou par un revendeur SF Tech agrée. 8. ACCESSOIRES Toutes les combinaisons étanches SF Tech sont livrées en standard avec une cagoule, un sac et un tuyau d'inflateur de 90cm. En outre, il est possible d'installer diverses options. 4. REISSVERSCHLUSS SF Tech Trockentauchanzüge werden mit einem Metall YKK Proseal® Reißverschluss ausgestattet. Der wasserundurchlässige Reißverschluss bietet einen wasserdichten Verschluss für den Trockentauchanzug. Es handelt sich dabei um einen fragilen und dennoch wesentlichen Bestandteil des Anzugs und sollte mit größter Sorgfalt behandelt werden. Die größeren Zähne auf der Außenseite des Reißverschlusses dienen nur als Klammern um die kleineren Zähne, sichtbar auf der Innenfläche des Reißverschlusses, an Ort und Stelle halten. Es sind diese kleinen Zähne, die ineinander greifen und einen gleichmässigen Druck auf das Polymer Reißverschlussband aufbauen und so die Dichtigkeit herstellen. -

Sonneneinstrahlung. Lagern Sie den Reißverschluss VOLLSTÄNDIG GEÖFFNET und vermeiden Sie es ihn stark zu biegen. Die Lagerung des Reißverschlusses in einer geschlossenen Position über einen längeren Zeitraum wird zur Deformierung der Dichtflächen führen. Die Lagerungn in teilgeöffnetem Zustand verursacht eine Biegung des Reißverschlusses und kann zu geringfügigen Undichtigkeiten führen. Stellen Sie keine schweren Gegenstände auf den Reißverschluss. Nicht chemisch reinigen, keine Maschinenwäsche, nicht bügeln. -

ALLERGIEN Ein kleiner Prozentsatz der Bevölkerung zeigt eine allergische Reaktion auf die Proteine, welche sich in Naturkautschuk-Latex befinden. Die Allergie tritt in der Regel nach wiederholtem Kontakt mit Produkten aus Naturkautschuk-Latex auf, welches in den Arm- und Halsmanschetten enthalten ist. Diese Allergie kann von einem leichten Hautausschlag bis zu schweren lebensbedrohlichen Reaktionen reichen. Das Erkennen einer allergischen Reaktion auf Latex, vor oder während eines Tauchgangs, sowie der Abbruch der weiteren Verwendung eines Trockentauchanzuges mit Latexmanschetten liegt in der Verantwortung des Benutzers. Im Falle einer allergischen Reaktion kann der Trockentauchanzug Hersteller alternative Materialien, wie beispielsweise Silikon oder... - Page 34 Kraft auf die Enden des Reißverschlusses auszuüben. ‹ Ziehen Sie die Hosenträger über die Schultern und stellen Sie deren Länge ein. ‹ Optional: Schließen Sie das Pinkel-Ventil an. ‹ Ist der Anzug von der Brust abwärts richtig positioniert, ziehen Sie das Oberteil des Anzuges bis zur Brust hoch.

Achten Sie darauf, daß Sie weder den Unterzieher noch andere Fremdkörper im Reißverschluss einklemmen, da dies die Zähne des Reissverschlusses beschädigen könnte.

überprüfen Sie den Anzug gründlich auf neue mögliche Schäden, die während des Tauchgangs ernstanden sind. Sollte eine Reparatur notwendig sein, wenden Sie sich an den Hersteller, oder bringen Sie den Anzug zu einem autorisierten SF Tech-Händler. REINIGUNG Spülen Sie nach jedem Tauchgang gründlich die Außenseite des Anzugs, die Manschetten und die Ventile mit sauberem Süßwasser. -
