PLEASE NOTE
When using the fan always observe the enclosed safety
instructions below
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Never use the fan outdoors.
2.
Do not expose the fan to extreme heat, direct
sunshine or humidity.
3.
Never immerse or use the fan or power cable in
water.
4.
Never use the fan with wet hands. Pull the plug
out immediately if the fan wet during use.
5.
Always turn off the fan when unattended.
6.
Keep children away from the fan.
7.
Never put the fan in the direction of a sleeping or
ill person.
8.
Children are not aware of the possible dangers of
the use of electrical fans.
9.
Never let children work with electrical fans
without supervision.
10. Regularly check the fan for wear and tear and
damage. If there is any, immediately stop use and
consult a qualified electrician.
11. If
the
power
cable
becomes
damaged
immediately stop use. Only a qualified electrician
should replace the cord.
12. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for
damage caused by unauthorized or misuse.
13. Never pull on the power cable to move the fan.
14. Always ensure the plug is removed from the outlet
when moving the fan.
15. Never twist or wrap the power cable around the
fan.
16. This fan is intended only for use with a 230V 50Hz
outlet.
17. The fan must never be used or stored near to a
source of heat.
18. Always unplug the fan when cleaning it.
19. For all repairs use only a qualified electrician.
20. Before first use please ensure the fan has been
correctly assembled.
21. Do not use the fan without the safety grill.
22. Before unplugging the fan be sure to turn it off.
23. Never put fingers, pencils, clips or other objects
through the safety grill.
24. Place the fan on stable ground and never place it
on windowsill.
25. Only use original spare parts.
26. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliances by a person responsible for their
safety.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Always check that the power supply corresponds to the
voltage on the rating plate.
ASSEMBLY
1.
Attach the upper base shaft to the lower base and
section and fix in the 4 securing screws provided.
2.
Now release the extendable shaft by loosening
the fan height adjustment.
3.
The top section of the fan (including the motor
and motor housing) can now be fixed on top of the
extendable shaft.
4.
Place the top section onto the shaft and secure
them using the 2 screws provided.
5.
Now assemble the fan head section.
FAN OPERATION
Speed Control Buttons
-
Speed is controlled by the speed control buttons.
When the speed control button 0 is pressed, fan
will stop. Buttons 1, 2 & 3 control the speed of the
fan with button 1 being the lowest setting and
button 3 the fastest setting.
Fan Head Tilt Adjustment
-
Use the knob at the base of the fan to tilt it
vertically. Loosen the knob to adjust angle and
tighten once the desired angle is achieved.
Oscillation on-off
-
The Oscillation knob at the fan's head is used to
control his oscillation. Push down on the knob for
oscillation and pull up on the knob for static use.
Height Adjustment
-
Twist the screw on the middle anti-clockwise and
adjust the steel shaft to the desired height. Then
twist the screw clockwise until the steel shaft is
firmly in place.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1.
Before cleaning unplug the device.
2.
Never use water for cleaning the plastic parts.
3.
Use a moist cloth for cleaning the fan surfaces.
4.
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the
safety grill. Never remove the safety grill.

FITTING A NEW PLUG
1.
If for any reason you need to fit a new plug, the
flexible mains lead must be connected as shown
below. The wires in the mains lead fitted to this
appliance are coloured in accordance with the
following code:
Live wire
Earth wire
Fuse
Neutral wire
Cable grip
2.
If colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance do not correspond with the coloured
marking identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows: the wire which is coloured
Blue must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter N or coloured Black. The
wire which is coloured Brown must be connected
to the terminal which is marked with the letter L
or coloured Red. The wire which is coloured Green
& Yellow must be connected to the terminal which
is marked with the letter E or coloured Green.
3.
Before refitting the plug cover check that there
are no cuts or stray strands of wire inside the plug.
Use a 3Amp BS 1362 fuse, only BSI or ASTA
approved fuses should be used. If you are in any
way unsure which plug or fuse to use, always refer
to a qualified electrician.
Note: After replacing or changing a fuse on a moulded
plug which has a fuse cover, the cover must be refitted to
the plug, the appliance must not be used without a fuse
cover.
Waste electrical products should not be
disposed of with household waste. Please
recycle where facilities exist. Check with your
Local Authority or retailer for recycling advice.
