Charging the Built-in Rechargeable Battery
The USB connection at which the device is charged must have a power rating of at
least 500 mA. This is normally assured at every USB port on computers. However,
the device can also be charged with power supplies that feature USB ports.
Before using the device for the first time, the built-in rechargeable battery must
be fully charged. Charging takes about 3 hours.
Charge the battery at least once a month even if the device is not in use.
This protects the battery from damage due to total discharge and pro-
longs the battery life. Do not, under any circumstances, go for more than
10 months without charging the battery.
• Connect the enclosed USB cable to the USB interface (8).
• Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port of a computer or into a suitable USB
power supply.
• The LED indicator on the MP3 player will flash while charging.
• The LED indicator will go out once the battery is fully charged.
• Unclip the USB cable when the charging process is complete.
• One battery charge will last up to 6 hours, depending on volume and use.
Connecting the Earphone
Insert the earphone plug into the earphone port (1).
Attachment Clip
The MP3 player has a clip that will keep the device attached to your clothing.
