Removing mirror glass

Removal and installation are described only for the left
mirror glass. The right side is similar.
WARNING
Always wear protective goggles and leather gloves for
these repairs!
1. Protect housing edges to prevent damage to paintwork
with, for example, textile-reinforced tape.
2. Press bottom of mirror glass -1- into mirror housing.
3. Press mirror glass -1- off adjuster unit -2- using removal
lever -80-200-.
4. Swivel mirror glass -1- to side and pull off connectors -3-
on back of mirror glass.

1. Release locking lugs -arrows A-.
2. Pull mirror cover -1- off mirror carrier in direction of
-arrow B-.
Installing mirror cover

1. Position mirror cover -1- from front (opposite to direction
of -arrow B-) and push on until locking hooks engage
audibly.

1. Push connector contacts -3- onto mirror glass -1-.
2. Push mirror glass -1- centrally onto adjuster unit -2- in
housing. Mirror glass engages audibly.
Note
Only press on the centre of the mirror when fitting the
mirror glass.
3. Then carry out a functional check.
